Jaguar will be contacting the owners of certain 2019-2020 Land Rover Discovery SUVs over concerns affecting the electrical system in their vehicles. The affected models were built between September 21, 2018 to August 31, 2020 at the Nitra assembly plant.

According to the defect report, insufficient contact between the battery ground to the chassis could result in various electrical problems. The vehicle could cut out while in driving and may lose all electrical power. Loss of exterior lighting without warning could increase the risk of an accident.

Owners receiving notices will be asked to return to their dealerships to have a modified ground stud installed. Land Rover's number for this recall is N400 and the NHTSA campaign number is 20V-694.
