Recall Date: May 9, 2025
Safety Issue:

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2022-2025 Pacifica and Voyager vehicles. The right and left side curtain air bags may have insufficient pressure retention from improperly sealed seams. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 226, "Ejection Mitigation."

Potential Risk:
An air bag with insufficient pressure retention increases the risk of ejection and injury during a crash.
FREE Recall Solution:
Dealers will replace the side curtain air bags, as necessary free of charge. Interim notification letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, were mailed beginning July 1, 2025. A second notice will be sent once the final remedy is available. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403. Chrysler's numbers for this recall are 06C, 54C, 55C.

Defect Description:

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

Potential Consequences:

We purchased this vehicle from a dealership in July 2024. The vehicle is only 2 years old and we have taken it to the dealership for repairs on multiple issues within the electrical components two times in one week. The first issue was the lift gate mechanism was failing which drained both of our batteries and the second issue was the horn failed. The horn is a major safety concern. Not to mention the fact that the horn parts are on back order, most likely due to many other malfunctioning horns in the Chrysler voyager. There were no warnings about when our horn actually started malfunctioning or anything until we tried to use it while driving and it failed to work. Again, I’m concerned as to why this particular issue has yet to be recalled considering the dealership stated that the mechanism is an electrical issue within the mother board of the vehicle. I’m also concerned as to why this mechanism would fail in just a two year old vehicle. I’ve never had a vehicles horn go out ever in my ownership of cars. This particular situation in my opinion needs to have an official recall as well as reimbursement for the failed mechanisms.
