Defect Description:
VISIBILITY/WIPER
Potential Consequences:
Front windshield on the passenger side developed a stress crack. There is no impact mark and the crack developed while turning a corner. Hopefully this doesn't mean that there is a deeper issue with the frame. This is a common issue on this year and model specifically that many have been complaining about on online forums. The crack grew from 5 inches to over a foot long within an hour. Others have said this will continue to grow horizontally until it splits the glass in two. This is a huge safety risk for all of the obvious reasons which can be googled. Not to mention it makes the car legally undrivable until fixed.

Defect Description:
VISIBILITY/WIPER
Potential Consequences:
On March 25, 2025, the windshield in the vehicle spontaneously cracked, while parked and unattended, beginning from about midway down on the driver side A-pillar. This seems to be a known and repeated issue with windshields on the Dodge Challenger. Inspected by the dealership who stated that they had seen the issue before and agreed that it was obviously not struck with anything. Dodge (Stellantis) denied warranty claim.

Defect Description:
UNKNOWN OR OTHER
Potential Consequences:
At 7k miles my windshield cracked sitting in the driveway. I have done some research and there are plenty of examples of 2023 Dodge Challengers having this issue. It is because of a manufacturing defect in the glass. I contacted Dodge and the dealership and they've claimed this damage is known and even inspected to prove it was not caused by an impact. Dodge also will not replace it under warranty even tho it is a manufacturing defect.

SERVICE BRAKES
Potential Consequences:
So this is not about an actual incident that occurred but is more so about about an issue with a manufacturer ive uncovered , being a mechanic and working primarily on dodge vehicles ive noticed at least for the last 2 years of modules the part numbers they list for their car line have not had the correct modules in them , in my own case I needed a module for my own car ,Ive bought 2 from junkyards using dodges own service library and the cars vins they came from that were once on the road and both cars had the wrong module numbers , I have since ordered a brand new module using the exact part number from a dealership brand new in the box and that module is also not the correct part number..my concern is who else is driving these cars from at least the last 2 years with the wrong module in the car, I have read all 3 modules using witech dodges own software and all 3 are not the ones that are supposed to be in them..I also know there are 152 on backorder of the correct ones that should have been in them with 0 being made...im not really one for conspiracy but this is kinda crazy. I know for sure that things like vehicle weight and stuff are programmed into these and the wrong calibration of that alone could easily cause the system to not function as designed causing crashes that could have been avoided if the system were functioning properly , the part number in question should have been 68399772AE,68399772AF and if they ever get a supplier for the latest revision they list that part number is 68399772AG, the supersession they list is from at least 2021 model years forward so it may have been even longer but I only have proof for the 23 year cars.the cars affected are chrysler 300, dodge challenger and dodge charger all trim levels as far as I've seen should have 68399772AE and none do. The file uploaded is a picture of a brand new 68399772AE out of the box and what was actually in the box. I have more of junkyard car modules that also weren't correct.

Defect Description:
UNKNOWN OR OTHER
Potential Consequences:
I own a 2023 Dodge Challenger R/T with approximately 9,200 miles. Recently, while the vehicle was parked, I discovered a significant crack in the front windshield originating from the passenger side edge with a length of approximately 10 inches. Notably, there are no visible signs of impact, such as rock chips or debris damage, indicating the crack developed spontaneously. This sudden failure compromises the structural integrity of the windshield, potentially reducing protection in the event of a collision and distorting visibility, thereby posing a safety risk. I took the vehicle to Hendrick Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Concord, NC, where the dealership visually confirmed the crack. However, they denied warranty coverage, citing that the issue occurred beyond the 12-month coverage window. No prior warning lights, messages, or symptoms indicated any issues before the windshield cracked. Upon researching, I found that other owners of 2023 Dodge Challengers have reported similar spontaneous windshield cracks without any impact, suggesting a potential manufacturing defect. For instance, a user on a Challenger forum reported a 6-inch crack on the passenger side of their windshield, which appeared without any impact and extended halfway across the windshield by the end of the day. I believe this issue may be related to inadequate windshield adhesion or stress from body flex, possibly due to manufacturing defects. I am submitting this complaint to bring attention to a potential safety defect that may affect other vehicles of the same model and year.

Defect Description:
VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL
Potential Consequences:
Once the cruise control or adaptive cruise control is set, there is no indication as to what the speed is set to on the display. The only way to find out what it was set to is to turn off the cruise control then set a new speed. Also, when increasing or decreasing the speed control, there is nothing to indicate the new speed in the display. You must count how many times you press the + or - speed button to calculate the new speed. I believe this is a big driving distraction and could be potentially dangerous. You could also accidentally set the speed faster that you thought. All other cars with cruise control that I have owned or rented show the set speed on the display. According to online Dodge Challenger forums, this is a common complaint with this year and model car as well as others. The forum indicates that this may be a programming error/oversight. It has been into the dealer a couple times for several days. They confirmed that it happens on my car and all the cars in their lot of the same year and model. Stellantis stated that this was done by design since 2019 even though the owner's manual says the speed should show on the display. This issue has been present since I purchased the car in September 2023 and continues to this day. I, and others, would like the manufacturer to fix this problem. They acknowledge the issue exist, but continue to ignore it and refuse to fix it.

Defect Description:
VISIBILITY/WIPER
Potential Consequences:
On Wednesday, [XXX] I was driving on [XXX] between Daytona Beach, Florida and Jacksonville, Florida. My Dodge Challenger’s windshield suddenly cracked while driving when I transitioned from the newly resurfaced left hand lane to the lower, not yet resurfaced, right lane. Two cracks immediately formed from the left a-pillar. There was no impact from an object that caused this to occur. The component that failed was the windshield. UNKNOWN OR OTHER
Potential Consequences:
I’m not sure if anyone has reported Dodge ( Challengers ) windshields unexpectedly without impact cracking. I’m seeing it a lot on the 2023 years my windshield cracked without impact, my brother also has a 2023 scatpack and his windshield cracked not even a week after purchasing the car. My cousin and uncle both have a 2016 and both windshields are cracked. I’m seeing a lot of videos on social media with people getting challengers and their windshields are cracked aswell there is no ways it’s a coincidence.

Potential Consequences:
I purchased a DODGE 2023 CHALLENGER SRT HELLCAT WIDEBODY JAILBREAK with manual transmission in October 2023. In April of 2024 I noticed that the AC did not work when the vehicle was NOT in motion and the OUTSIDE temperature was more than 90 degrees. I took it to a local dealer ship and they kept troubleshooting the vehicle with Dodge and could not fix the issue. Come to find out, all 2023 manual transmission Challenger Hellcats have the same issue. This is effecting approximately 628+ vehicles. Dodge Care states they are aware of the issue and are working on it internally, however no ETA or timeline has been given to the customers of the affected vehicles. Dodge provide me with the following case numbers that you can use to investigate: Case: [XXX] Star Case: [XXX] Their contact phone number is: 855-778-8326 The weblink below is 10 pages (and growing) of customer experiencing the same issue: [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

I had recently had my backup camera/and radio repaired as they are synchronized to work together at a dealership. On [XXX] the issue has happened again, and it is available for inspection upon request. My safety, and others could be put at risk due to potential collisions. The issue has been reproduced, and confirmed upon the first incident of this happening at Capital CDJR Of Indian Trail, NC whom also did the first repair. At this point the vehicle has not been inspected as it started again this morning. The backup camera went glitchy, then said camera system not available, then went glitchy again. I hope this issue doesn't have any negative safety incidents for myself, or others. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
