Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2021-2023 Dodge Durango vehicles. The rear spoiler may not be aligned properly with the roof, resulting in damage to the spoiler during liftgate use.

EXTERIOR LIGHTING
Potential Consequences:
My left rear tail light has a water intrusion issue. From calling the dealership they stated their likely solution would be to drill a weep hole in it (HA!). Reading online this is a massive issue, a recall needs to be issued on these vehicles as it is a known defect with safety a cost impacts.

ENGINE
Potential Consequences:
The contact leased a 2023 Dodge Durango. The contact stated while driving 25-30 MPH with his children in the rear seats, the vehicle lost electrical power and stopped abruptly. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle failed to restart, and the doors were locked. The contact was able to manually lift the door latch lifter pin and exited the vehicle with his children. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the C10 power wiring through the PDC was loose. The dealer informed the contact that the failure was a manufacturing defect. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 1,000.

FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE
Potential Consequences:
The contact owns a 2023 Dodge Durango. The contact stated that fuel started to pour out of the vehicle while refueling the vehicle. The contact stated that the fuel tank was not yet filled prior to the failure. The following day, the vehicle was driven to the dealer and inspected. The contact stated that based on the preliminary inspection, there was no fault found. The contact then drove the vehicle back to the gas station with the service tech. While at the gas station, the contact was unable to duplicate the failure, and was informed to monitor the vehicle and to return to the dealer should the failure reoccurred. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 6,000.
