ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Potential Consequences:
The contact stated they were filing for a client who owned a 2024 Summit Trailer Park Model. The contact stated that the owner had received a call while out of town informing them that several neighbors had been reporting an explosion due to the trailer catching fire. The contact stated that the owner had stated the fire occurred 28 days after being purchased and stationed on their property. The fire had caused a vehicle nearby to catch fire which ignited an explosion. The fire department had come to extinguish the fire and reported that the space heater had an electrical fault causing the fire. Both the trailer and vehicle were towed and deemed totaled. There were no injuries. No medical attention was needed. A police report was filed. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
