Safety Issue:

Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2021-2025 Sienna Hybrid vehicles. The bolts for the seatbacks on the third-row seat assemblies may not be tightened properly. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) numbers 202, "Head Restraints," 207, "Seating Systems," and 225, "Child Restraint Anchorage Systems."

Potential Risk:
An improperly tightened seatback may not adequately restrain the occupant during a crash, increasing their risk of injury.
FREE Recall Solution:
Dealers will tighten the seat assembly bolts, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 1, 2025. Owners may contact Toyota's customer service at 1-800-331-4331. Toyota's number for this recall is 25TA05.

SUSPENSION

Potential Consequences:

The contact owns a 2024 Toyota Sienna Hybrid. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, the transmission was shifted into reverse, and the rear end of the vehicle vibrated abnormally. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic but was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer was contacted; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was not available.

LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES:TRUNK LID:LATCH

Potential Consequences:

The contact owns a 2024 Toyota Sienna Hybrid. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, the trunk became inoperable. The contact stated that the trunk latch failed to function properly and failed to open as needed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the trunk hinges had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure.
