POWER TRAIN
Potential Consequences:
2022 Tahoe RST with 5.3 10 Speed. Bought new in Sept of 2021. The 2022 we have had problems with shuttering in the drivetrain from very low miles. We have brought it into the dealership atleast 3-4 times before for this issue. This was all while it was still under its 60k drivetrain warranty. Dealership always told us that since there was no check engine light or codes that they can’t fix what is not broke or broke yet. We needed to wait for it to break or light then bring it in. We also received a letter in the mail for the trans recall (program)last year which was preformed. That day after, my wife started to notice it shuttering more than usual and more often. I call the dealership that performed the recall which they said to bring it in. After looking it over. I get a call saying that I should get the transfer case fluid, front and rear diff fluid changed. It might be the transfer case slipping. Advisor told me that since it was about due for this service. Fast forward to May 9th of this year. My wife was at church. She parked it which it ran fine. Came out about 30-40 mins later put it into drive and wheels where locked up. She called me panicking that something was wrong. Go to her aid which I had to have it towed to the same dealership that serviced it before. Even check it in with the same advisor that helped us before after the recall issue. I should now mention our 22 Tahoe has 68,700 miles. Dealership called us a few days later saying it was the valve body. Especially since we had have problems before with the drivetrain and documented. The vehicle is still inoperable. We are waiting for a valve body with no ETA.

ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING
Potential Consequences:
The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V274000(Engine and Engine Cooling); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 30 MPH, the vehicle started losing motive power and shuddered violently. Several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to a dealer, where it was diagnosed. The dealer replaced the SN-L Pipe and installed an SN-L injector kit. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was towed to another unknown dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the cylinder #7 injector and R/R Fuel Rail needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic oil shop, where the contact was informed that metal shavings were found in the oil filter and the oil level was significantly low. The vehicle was repaired, however the failure recurred while driving, and the vehicle experienced excessive oil consumption. The dealer was contacted and advised the contact that the recall part was not yet available and an appointment could not be scheduled. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000. Parts distribution disconnect.

FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
Potential Consequences:
On 6/26/2025, I was on an elevated one lane exit ramp of a major freeway. My 2022 Tahoe suddenly lost complete power with no warning at all. The car behind me slammed on his brakes and narrowly missed me as I could do nothing except get as close to the concrete barrier as possible. Thankfully the Tahoe went into Neutral so I managed to roll down the ramp. I prayed that I could get across 3 lanes of the frontage road without getting hit so I could safely make it into a parking lot. I had to call a wrecker even though I was literally two driveways down from a Chevrolet dealership. I could not make it that far with no power and using only the momentum from the exit ramp to get me to safety. I have 32,635 miles on the Tahoe. It was a faulty fuel pump power control module.

POWER TRAIN
Potential Consequences:
Faulty valve body Safety was put at risk, I was traveling on a 4 lane road at 45 mph when my vehicle experienced a significant jump in RPM with immediate loss of propulsion. I immediately drove to the dealership as the incident was frightening. The vehicle was also not able to go into reverse. This valve body failure issue has been confirmed by the GM Chevy Dealership, and GM corporate executive services. My vehicle has been undriveable and at the dealership since 3/4/25. This is a known issue with GM, parts are not available and are back ordered with no ETA on when they will be available. Even with a replaced valve body it is likely the vehicle will have future transmission issues &/ additional valve body failure. Please strongly consider a recall related to this known issue and safety concern.

Defect Description:
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Potential Consequences:
On May 9th, 2025 we had to have our 2022 Tahoe towed to the local dealership. There was a transmission error message and the battery was completely drained. The dealer put a new battery in it for $485 and we were told it was good to go. The next day, the car would not go into Reverse. Had to have it towed back to the dealership and was told that the Transmission failure was a recalled part and would be covered. Later we were called and told even though the part that had failed is in fact the same part in the open recall, that our VIN was not on the recall list and the cost to fix the vehicle would not be covered. In addition to all the headaches and money out of pocket (rental cars, tows, new battery) we now have to wait at least 4 - 6 weeks to receive the recalled part but since our VIN is not on the 2022 Tahoe recall list (even though it is the same part as the recall that failed), we are having to pay out of pocket for the repairs. Chevy needs to stand behind this recall and cover the cost.
