Safety Issue:

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2018-2022 Transit Connect, 2019-2020 MKZ, Edge, Continental, F-150, Nautilus, Fusion, 2019-2023 Ranger, Mustang, 2020-2021 EcoSport, Expedition, Navigator, 2020-2022 Escape, F-250 SD, Corsair, 2020-2023 Aviator, Transit, 2020-2024 Explorer, 2021-2024 Bronco Sport, and 2022-2024 Maverick vehicles. A software error may cause the rearview camera to display a blank image, or the image may remain on the display after the backing event has ended.

Potential Risk:
A rearview camera that displays a blank image can reduce the driver's view behind the vehicle. A rearview image that continues to be displayed after the vehicle is shifted out of reverse may distract the driver. Both of these situations can increase the risk of a crash.
FREE Recall Solution:
Dealers will update the rearview camera software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed July 28, 2025. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 25S72.

Safety Issue:

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2021-2022 EcoSport vehicles. The front axle half shafts may disconnect from the transmission, which can result in a loss of drive power.

Potential Risk:
A loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash. In addition, a disconnected half shaft can result in a vehicle rollaway if the parking brake is not applied, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.
FREE Recall Solution:
Dealers will inspect and replace the half shafts as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on May 29, 2025. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 25S12.

Safety Issue:

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2016-2018 Ford Focus and 2018-2022 Ford EcoSport vehicles. The oil pump drive belt or drive belt tensioner may fail, resulting in a loss of engine oil pressure.

Potential Risk:
A loss of oil pressure can result in an engine stall and a loss of power braking assist, increasing the risk of a crash.
FREE Recall Solution:
Dealers will replace the oil pump tensioner assembly and oil pump drive belt, free of charge. If engine failure occurs due to a damaged oil pump belt and/or oil pump belt tensioner, Ford has authorized dealers to replace the engine assembly as an interim repair before the availability of remedy parts for the final repair. This repair will be free of charge (parts and labor). Interim owner notification letters explaining the safety risk were mailed June 20, 2024. A second notice will be sent once remedy parts become available, anticipated in 4th Quarter 2025. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 23S64.

Recall is for 25S12 FRONT HALF SHAFT INSPECTION red McCombs completed and passed on June 23 2025 a week later the shaft had been bent Ford is denying paying for the recall because it was initially passed. I’m writing to follow up on an ongoing issue involving my 2021 Ford EcoSport currently at your dealership, Red McCombs Ford. I’ve been without a vehicle for several weeks now, and despite multiple text updates from Adrian, I’ve yet to receive a concrete response or resolution from Ford regarding the recall and repair process. As you are aware, my vehicle was inspected at your service department on June 23, 2025 in relation to Ford Recall 25S12, concerning improper axle half-shaft installation. At that time, I was told the axle was installed correctly. However, by June 30, the vehicle was back at your shop with a bent axle shaft — a serious failure that occurred less than a week after your team cleared it. This raises a critical concern. Given the nature of the recall — where improperly seated axles can cause spline wear, misalignment, or other stress-related damage — it is highly plausible that the damage was either missed during inspection or already underway when the vehicle was deemed compliant. Despite this, I have received no official update from Ford about whether the repair will be covered under the recall. The continued delay, lack of communication, and lack of access to a working vehicle have created a great deal of inconvenience and frustration. At this time, I am requesting the following: A written update on the current status of my vehicle’s repair and Ford’s determination. A copy of the inspection report from 6/23 outlining what was evaluated during the recall check. Confirmation that this issue is being escalated appropriately within Ford if a resolution is still pending. I would appreciate a prompt response so we can move forward in resolving this issue. The contact stated that black smoke was leaking from under the hood and the driver-side door would not unlock or unlatch to open. Oil pump tensioner failure still has not fix the recall on my vehicle since 12/23/2023 when it was issued. I had taken my vehicle in today for both recalls Ford only address the Half Shaft recall. But stated parts are not available on the oil pump tensioner. Being waiting for a remedy for year and a half. I can not claim lemon law in California with Ford hiding behind the recall issued. Ford should be forced to buy back vehicle or fix the recall.
