Defect Description:
VISIBILITY/WIPER
Potential Consequences:
on 5/20/2022 I contacted my local dealership regarding recall 22V250 to discuss getting this issue repaired. I was scheduled an appointment on 6/16/2022 at 7:40 a.m. On 6/15/2022 I was told by the dealership that they were not going to repair my vehicle because I was not having any issues with it and I had to wait until there was a problem. When I made the appointment on 5/20/22 I was told that they would be able to repair it even if it was not broken and they would get the part ordered. I was told yesterday by the service manager that they had three parts in but they belonged to someone else and that since mine was not broken they could not fix it.

Defect Description:
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Potential Consequences:
I received notice through carfax of a recall due to fire hazard. Numerous attempts at getting more information through ford has resulted in little more than referral to a local dealer. The dealer has no loaners available at this time. I Am forced to park in my driveway surrounded by trees as there is no place near me to park that avoids other structures In a chat with ford today I was told a potential temporary solution was to disconnect the battery. When I called the local dealer again and requested a quick disconnect be installed they said they don’t /won’t do that. So I am back to square one. A new expensive suv which may burn down my house and no clear solution. If I were to install a quick disconnect on my own I was told it had to be done with a ford service (why if I am paying out of pocket for it). This is potentially dangerous situation and left hanging on my own Feel like how pinto owners must have felt

Ford Motor Company
Defect Description:
ENGINE
Potential Consequences:
We saw on the news our Ford Expedition could be recalled for "under hood fires." We checked our Ford App and it shows two recall issues. One for the "under hood fires" and one related to a "wiper arm loose." We have not received any recall notices from Ford but we received these notices on our Ford App. When we called Ford, we did not get anyone to help us. They just told us to park our car outside our garage away from the house. We called our local Ford Dealer and they did not know anything about the recall and repeated the statement to park outside the garage until they receive information on how to resolve the problem. We take good care of our vehicles so we don't like having our car sitting outside where it is subject to weather conditions. However, we are told the car could catch fire even when it is not turned on so we don't want to risk having our home burn down. Also, we are concerned of a safety issue of driving the car that it may catch fire. We purchased this vehicle to pull a small camper and camping season is starting. If we use this to pull our camper and the car can catch fire when not in use, we are concerned about the safety of having the car in the campground close to our camper. Ford needs to provide a resolution to this safety issue immediately. A customer should not feel they are at a risk of physical harm or harm to their home or camper. This should be a top priority to find a resolution to this problem. We should not have to park our car outside and we should not have to worry about driving the car with risk of a fire or risk of a fire in a campground by our camper. Please request Ford prioritize this safety issue an find a resolution immediately. We did not receive any recall letters for either of the recall issues - fire under the hood or wiper problem. Please require Ford to solve both issues but the most important is the "under hood" fire issue.
