Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2021-2023 Bronco, Explorer, Lincoln Aviator, F-250 SD, F-350 SD, F-450 SD, F-550 SD, 2021-2022 Lincoln Navigator, Mustang, F-150, and 2022 Expedition vehicles. The low-pressure fuel pump may fail, which can result in an engine stall while driving.

Potential Risk:
An engine stall increases the risk of a crash.

Safety Issue:

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2022-2024 Navigator and Expedition vehicles. The front brake lines may contact the engine air cleaner outlet pipe and become damaged, possibly resulting in a brake fluid leak and reduced brake function.

Potential Risk:
A loss of brake function increases the risk of a crash.
FREE Recall Solution:
Dealers will inspect the front brake line and replace the brake line or air cleaner outlet pipe, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 29, 2025. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 25S47.

Safety Issue:

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2021-2024 Bronco, F-150, 2021-2024 Edge, 2023-2024 Escape, F-250, F-350, F-450, F-550, F-600, 2022-2024 Expedition, 2022-2025 Transit, 2021-2023 Mach-E, 2024 Ranger, Mustang, 2021-2023 Lincoln Nautilus, 2022-2024 Navigator, and 2023-2024 Corsair vehicles. A software error may cause the rearview camera image to delay, freeze, or not display when the vehicle is in reverse.

Potential Risk:
A frozen or missing rearview camera image can reduce the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
FREE Recall Solution:
The accessory protocol interface module (APIM) software will be updated by a dealer or through an over-the-air update, free of charge. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed June 26, 2025. A second letter will be sent once the remedy is available, anticipated for third quarter 2025. Due to a software error, a towed trailer equipped with an electric or electric-over hydraulic brake system may not brake.

Potential Risk:
Loss of trailer brake functionality can extend the distance required to stop, increasing the risk of a crash.

The air bag warning label may be missing from the dashboard. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirement Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."

Potential Risk:
Without a label that shows the proper restraint usage guidelines, the occupants may have an increased risk of injury in the event of a crash.

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2018-2023 Expedition and Lincoln Navigator vehicles equipped with third-row seating; and 2019-2023 F-Super Duty F-250, F-350, F-450, and F-550 SuperCab vehicles. The owner's manual does not include instructions for adjusting or removing certain head restraints. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 202, "Head Restraints."

Potential Risk:
Without instructions, the head restraints may be improperly adjusted, increasing the risk of injury in the event of a crash.
FREE Recall Solution:
Ford will mail the Owner's Manual addendums that describe how to adjust and remove the head restraints for the center seating positions, free of charge. The contact owns a 2022 Ford Expedition Max. The contact stated that while stopped with the brake pedal depressed in a parking lot, the vehicle accelerated inadvertently without warning. The vehicle crashed into the driver's side center of another vehicle totaling it. The approximate four occupants of the vehicle crashed into sustained unknown injuries and were transported to the hospital. A police report was filed. The contact did not sustain any injuries. Potential Consequences:

3rd row seat has metal frame coming through cushion. Had seat cushion replaced once. Ford technician said was design flaw in vehicle and issue will continue to happen. Just had vehicle in again for same issue but Ford will not replace cushion this time because they confirmed other like vehicles are having same issue and deeming is a normal condition. This is a huge safety issue for my children. This is not a normal condition to have a cushion fall through and the metal seat frame is exposed.

While driving the vehicle, the stereo system suddenly without warning started an unbearable loud and deafening noise. I was driving on a busy highway and was able to the the next exit. I had 2 other occupants in the vehicle. We had to exit the vehicle because the noise level from the speaker was painful and caused disorientation. I turned the vehicle off but the noise continued for at least 10 minutes then stopped. Myself and the 2 other occupants still have ear pain 24 hours later.

Potential Consequences:

We started to notice some body issues -rear side fenders popping out, the front grill popping out,, the inside screen would go blank, fuel tank lid pops open. As if this was not enough - we then encountered more issues - sunroof was falling on our heads, the step up railing is falling apart....WAIT- there's more - paint coming off the hood...And to top it all off - there is a cracking noise thru the inside. We cannot control the noise. We lose all function and use of controls (radio, climate, etc.).

In December of 2023 (not even one full year after purchasing my brand new Ford Expedition) I used the FOB to remotely open the trunk on my 2022 Ford Expedition. Upon doing so, I heard popping and cracking sounds. I didn't see any damage, so I didn't think anything of it until I drove on the interstate and immediately heard a violent slapping noise coming from the back of my vehicle. I took the truck to the dealership (where I purchased my vehicle). They inspected the vehicle and said that the spoiler is misaligned and loose - causing the sound and also resulting in a dent on the roof of the vehicle. The dealership said that Ford would not cover the repair under their FULL BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY. Three other people with new Ford Expeditions at my dealership have experienced this exact issue. (Also a simple Google search of "Ford spoiler issue" will demonstrate that many others have experienced this issue.) I am extremely nervous to drive my vehicle anywhere as it sounds and feels like the spoiler is going to fly off of the vehicle especially when I drive on the interstate. This is a HUGE safety issue. The spoiler is loose and could fly off on the highway and cause an accident or hit another vehicle. NHTSA is aware of this issue and submitted an SSM to Ford [XXX] ), but Ford will not recall or cover repairs to their vehicles that have a defect and pose a safety risk. Thankfully nobody was injured. The car was towed to the Ford dealership and they after inspection found no reason for the malfunction. I have asked them today to reach out to Ford Customer Assistance as the estimated repair is $4,000. It was not reported to police or insurance at this time. There were no warning signs, nothing has fallen on the roof to my knowledge and the vehicle has 19,600 miles. DOCUMENTATION OF UNWARRANTED / UNCONTROLLED VEHICLE ACCELERATION: DRIVER STATED THAT WHILE VEHICLE WAS STOPPED IN TRAFFIC, VEHICLE ACCELERATED WITHOUT USE OF ACCELERATOR PEDAL. VEHICLE LURCHED FORWARD INTO VEHICLE AHEAD, AND INTO 2ND VEHICLE AHEAD IN TRAFFIC. ENGINE CONTINUED TO RACE AT HIGH SPEED WITH TRANSMISSION IN DRIVE, SPINNING REAR TIRES UNCONTROLLED WITH BOTH FEET DEPRESSING BRAKE PEDAL. VEHICLE HAD TO BE PUT IN NEUTRAL TO SHUT OFF ENGINE. APPROXIMATELY 15 - 20 MINUTES PRIOR TO INCIDENT, VEHICLES CRUISE CONTROL DISENGAGED WITHOUT REASON WHILE DRIVING @ 60 MPH ON PARKWAY. SYSTEM RE ENGAGED WITHOUT FURTHER ISSUE ON PARKWAY.
