The front driver seat track assembly's rear riser may have been improperly welded to the seat track rail, and as a result, the driver may not be adequately restrained in a crash. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) numbers 207, "Seating Systems" and 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages."

SUDDENLY I NOTICED THAT THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL HAD BECOME UNRESPONSIVE AND THE CAR WAS SLOWING DOWN. ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL THERE WAS A WARNING LIGHT IN THE SHAPE OF A WRENCH. MY VEHICLE WAS SLOWING DOWN RAPIDLY AND THE ADJACENT VEHICLES HAD NO IDEA WHAT WAS HAPPENING. HORNS WERE BLOWING; LIGHTS WERE FLASHING; AND THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING I COULD DO EXCEPT TO TRY TO SAFELY GET OUT OF EVERYONE'S WAY. THE FORD DEALERSHIP HAS TAKEN THE CAR IN TWICE WITH ABSOLUTELY NO REPAIRS AND NO REPORTED DIAGNOSTIC CODES. FORD HAS EXPERIENCED THE SAME INTERMITTENT STARTING ISSUES WITH THE CAR IN THEIR POSSESSION, BUT THEY REFUSED TO CONDUCT LONG-TERM DIAGNOSIS BECAUSE THEY SIMPLY WERE NOT ABLE TO ISOLATE THE PROBLEM. THIS IS THE THIRD TIME IT'S GOING INTO THE DEALER AND NOW IT'S A SAFETY ISSUE BECAUSE THE CAR LOSES POWER WHILE IN OPERATION.

IT SLOWED SOME WHILE I HAD MY FOOT ON THE GAS BUT PICKED UP SPEED SHORTLY AFTER. I IGNORED THAT FIGURED IT WAS NO BIG DEAL.
