I have also had on other occasions times where the Infotainment system itself would freeze with no warning and when the back up camera was not in use. I suspect the recall addressing the camera issue is only part of this and that the system itself has issues not related to the camera. Pressing and holding the POWER and Fast Forward buttons forcing a system restart restored usability.
