FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
Potential Consequences:
Similar problem experienced as the TSB issued for 2015-2016 Honda Fits. Our 2018 exhibits the same issues as the years listed in the TSB below: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2022/MC-10208198-0001.pdf Check engine lights and stumbles/misfires deeming the car unsafe to drive. The NHTSA should encourage/mandate the entire 2015-2020 Honda Fit model run to be covered by the TSB above, since the issues/symptoms are identical in model year 2018+ cars as they are in 2015-2016. Eagerly awaiting for oyu to do something about this safety issue. Thank you!

Defect Description:
FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
Potential Consequences:
The car will randomly shut off the ACC, collision warning, and lane assist. The dealership says this is due to an error with the fuel injection system and fuel injectors need replaced. There Was a similar recall on the 2015-2916 Honda fit, but was supposedly fixed on later cars. This is still the same flaw but for some reason affects these other safety systems too.

Defect Description:
ENGINE
Potential Consequences:
all vehicle warning lights came on specifically the check engine light for an emissions system problem. At the time the car had around 100,000 miles so it was suspected that the issue had to be with the battery, o2 sensors, or spark plug and ignition coil, so those parts were replaced. The vehicle still shows all the warning lights and reads codes for misfires in the first and second cylinder. If the issue with the fuel injectors was recalled and fixed for the 2015-2016 model Honda Fit, then it cant possibly be that the 2017-2020 honda fits also have a fuel injector problem, unless they also do and the issue has been neglected.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Potential Consequences:
Car is four years old and has 80,000 miles. Fuel injectors became stuck in an open position flooding the engine with fuel and frying the spark plugs. All emergency indicator lights came on and one light (the tire light) was flashing. Honda dealership confirmed fuel injectors were stuck open, but instead of admitting to failure in their parts, they blamed the problem on “bad gas.” An independent auto mechanic confirmed for me that gasoline should not be blamed on faulty fuel injectors. Unfortunately Honda charged me $2300 to replace parts that should last longer than four years.

Defect Description:
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Potential Consequences:
We have a recurring hazardous issue with our iPhoneX plugged into the USB port on our 2018 Fit EX-L Hondalink radio system. Typically after 20 seconds to hours after starting the car with the iPhone connected, an iTunes song from the phone will start playing spontaneously. And it also almost always occurs soon after using Siri on my iPhone via the Hondalink system. But sometimes it can happen just driving much later for no reason at all. This is hazardous because on occasions when it suddenly played the music the volume was so loud it scared the driver. So this is a safety issue! I found postings about similar issues online that suggested various iPhone settings changes which I tried without success. One posting though simply replaced the Honda radio with a Sony aftermarket radio and that did resolve the issue. Today I also spoke with Kenya at Hondalink support at 888-528-7876 but she said she found no information about the defect. She suggested I take the car back to the dealer (at my expense).
