Safety Issue:

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2014-2020 Rogue and 2017-2022 Rogue Sport vehicles equipped with a jackknife style ignition key. The jackknife key may collapse into a folded position while driving.

Potential Risk:
Driver contact with a key in the collapsed position could inadvertently shut off the vehicle while driving, increasing the risk of a crash. Additionally, if the vehicle shuts off while driving, the air bags may not deploy in a crash as intended, increasing the risk of injury.
FREE Recall Solution:
Dealers will insert a spacer into the key slot of the jackknife key, free of charge. Interim notification letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed March 29, 2023. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed August 30, 2023. Owners may contact Nissan's customer service at 1-800-867-7669. Nissan's number for this recall is R22C5.

Safety Issue:

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2017-2019 Rogue Hybrid vehicles. Contact with the Electronic Control Module (ECM) bracket may damage the engine harness, causing a blown fuse.

Potential Risk:
A blown fuse may cause an engine stall, increasing the risk of a crash.
FREE Recall Solution:
Dealers will install a harness protector cover, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 16, 2021. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669. Nissan's number for this recall is R21B6.

Safety Issue:

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2018-2019 Nissan Altima, Armada, Frontier, Kicks, Leaf, Maxima, Murano, NV, NV200, Pathfinder, Rogue, Rogue Sport, Sentra, Titan, Titan Diesel, Versa Note and Versa Sedan vehicles, as well as Infiniti Q50, Q60, QX30 and QX80 vehicles. Additionally included are 2019 Nissan GT-R and Taxi and Infiniti QX50, QX60, Q70, Q70L vehicles. The back-up camera and display settings can be adjusted such that the rear view image is no longer visible and the system will retain that setting the next time the vehicle is placed in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility."

Potential Risk:
The lack of an image in the back-up camera display increases the risk of a crash.
FREE Recall Solution:
Nissan will notify owners in phases, having dealers update the back-up camera settings software, free of charge. The recall began November 11, 2019 and all affected VINs should be activated. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669 or INFINITI customer service at 1-800-662-6200.

BOUGHT A NEW 2018 ROGUE SV ON 5/8/19 & HAVE HAD CONTINUOUS & UNFIXED PROBLEMS WITH IT. WITH 165 MILES ON THE CAR, I TOOK THIS ROGUE TO THE LEBRUN DEALERSHIP IN AUBURN, NY TO CORRECT 2 PROBLEMS: 1 WAS THE "REPEATED AND VERY NOTICEABLE VIBRATIONS IN THE STEERING WHEEL & BODY OF THE CAR." AND OTHER ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS. BROUGHT THE ROGUE BACK TO LEBRUN 5 MORE TIMES TO GET THESE NOTICEABLE VIBRATIONS CORRECTED. BOTH THE OWNER & NISSAN FACTORY REP.DROVE THE CAR AND BOTH AGREED THAT I HAD VIBRATIONS IN THE STEERING WHEEL, ETC. WHY? THEIR ANSWERS WERE: "IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE TRANSMISSION." AFTER THE UPDATE IT HAPPENED TO ME WHILE DRIVING IN THE RAIN, MY TODDLER WAS IN THE CAR, LUCKILY I DID NOT LOSE CONTROL OF THE CAR. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE AND NISSAN HAS FAILED TO CORRECT IT. I WOULD GUESS MY CAR IS NOT THE ONLY ONE WITH THIS PROBLEM AND WANT TO REPORT THIS SO THAT IF OTHERS ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM, THE SOFTWARE UPDATE CAN BE COVERED BY NISSAN. IT STARTLED ME AND MY AUTOMATIC REACTION WAS TO SWITCH MY FOOT TO THE BRAKE AND WHEN I DID I COULD FEEL THE BRAKE WAS ALREADY DEPRESSED ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR. THE CAR BRIEFLY STOPPED AND THEN THE BRAKE LET UP AND I THEN COULD CONTINUE DRIVING A COUPLE SECONDS LATER. IT WAS SCARY AND DANGEROUS. SOMEONE COULD'VE BEEN BEHIND ME AND HIT ME. I WAS RATTLED FOR 30 MINUTES AFTERWARD. I AM UNSURE OF THE EXACT DATE THIS OCCURRED BUT I GAVE THE BEST ESTIMATE I COULD DOWN BELOW.

Corrective Action:

WHILE DRIVING ON A SUNNY DAY ON A CITY STREET MY CAR SUDDENLY SLAMMED ON THE BRAKES WHILE DRIVING UNDER A HIGHWAY OVERPASS. IT DID THIS ON IT'S OWN IN CLEAR WEATHER WHILE IN MOTION. IT APPEARED THE CAR REACTED ON IT'S OWN TO THE SHADOW OF THE HIGHWAY I WAS ABOUT TO DRIVE UNDER. THERE WAS NO CAR IN FRONT OF ME AND I IN FACT WAS ABOUT TO ACCELERATE TO MAKE A LEFT TURN AFTER GOING UNDER THE OVERPASS. THE CAR BRAKES SUDDENLY WHEN GOING INTO THE SHADOW OF THE OVERPASS. IT STARTLED ME AND MY AUTOMATIC REACTION WAS TO SWITCH MY FOOT TO THE BRAKE AND WHEN I DID I COULD FEEL THE BRAKE WAS ALREADY DEPRESSED ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR.
