(Nissan) is recalling certain 2017 Nissan NV200, Sentra, NV3500 Van, NV3500 Bus, NV200 Taxi, NV1500, NV2500 Van, Chevrolet City Express, 2017-2018 Frontier, Versa Note, and Versa Sedan vehicles that have a mechanical (physical) key ignition system. In these models, over time, the weight on the key ring and road conditions or some other jarring event may cause the ignition switch to move out of the run position to the accessory position, turning off the engine.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 NISSAN SENTRA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHENEVER DRIVING, THE VEHICLE SWERVES SIDE TO SIDE AS A RESULT THE CONTACT BECAME CAR SICK. THE STEERING WHEEL AS BECAME DIFFICULT TO MANEUVER AND AN ABNORMAL RATTLING NOISE WAS HEARD. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO FRED ANDERSON NISSAN (9225 GLENWOOD AVE, RALEIGH, NC 27617 (919) 324-3443) WHERE THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. THE ESTIMATED DAMAGE IS OVER 3500.00. THIS SEEMS HIGHLY UNSAFE AS THE CAR IS LITERALLY PLASTIC, WE HAD KNOW WARNING NOR INFORMED THE CAR WAS SO EASILY DAMAGED AND COULD POTENTIALLY TAKE A LIFE OR INJURE A PERSON SEVERELY. SINCE THE CAR WAS PARKED WHEN THE DAMAGE OCCURRED AND IT WAS DONE BY A CAR BACKING OUT OF THE PARKING LOT AT A SLOW RATE OF SPEED WE FEEL UNSAFE IN THIS CAR NOW AND WANT NISSAN TO FIX THIS PROBLEM OR TRADE OUR CAR FOR A STABLE CAR NOT A DEATH TRAP.
