On March 4, 2020, Toyota expanded the recall to include certain 2014-2015 Toyota 4Runner and Land Cruiser, 2018 Avalon, Corolla, 2014 FJ Cruiser, 2017 Sienna and Lexus 2018 ES 350, 2018-2019 GS 300, 2013-2014 GS350, 2014-2015 GX 460, IS 350 and LX 570, 2014 IS F, 2018-2019 IS 350, LC 500H and LS 500H, 2013-2015 LS 460, 2015 NX 200T and RC350, 2017 RC 200T and RX 350. Toyota also removed the 2018-2019 Toyota 4Runner and Land Cruiser and 2018-2019 Lexus GX 460 and LX 570 and 2019 NX300 from inclusion in this recall. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 TOYOTA CAMRY. WHILE DRIVING 70 MPH, AN ABNORMAL THUMPING NOISE WAS HEARD FROM UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE. ANOTHER MOTORIST ALERTED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE WAS LEAKING FUEL. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO COAST ONTO THE SHOULDER AND HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO CENTRAL TOYOTA (11020 SOUTH ORANGE BLOSSOM TRAIL, ORLANDO, FL 32837). THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL TANK PLASTIC SHIELD AND THE PLASTIC FUEL TANK FRACTURED, WHICH CAUSED THE FUEL TO LEAK. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 10,000.

CAR JOLTS DURING THIS SHIFT. ISSUE IS WORSE WHEN THE CAR IS COLD, BUT CAN BE REPRODUCED EVEN WHEN IT IS WARMED UP. (2) TRANSMISSION TAKES A LONG TIME TO DOWNSHIFT AFTER ACCELERATOR IS PRESSED. SEEMS TO BE VERY CONFUSED IN PICKING THE RIGHT GEAR. (3) TRANSMISSION IS TOO EAGER TO DOWNSHIFT WHEN ACCELERATOR IS NOT PRESSED AND CAR IS SLOWING DOWN. THIS RESULTS IN ROUGH JOLTS AS THE CAR IS SLOWING DOWN OR BRAKING.
