Safety Issue:

Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2018 Camry, 2019 Lexus NX300, and 2019 RX350L vehicles. The low-pressure fuel pump inside the fuel tank may fail.

Potential Risk:
Fuel pump failure can cause an engine stall, increasing the risk of a crash.
FREE Recall Solution:
Dealers will replace the fuel pump assembly, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 12, 2025. Owners may contact Toyota's customer service at 1-800-331-4331. Toyota's numbers for this recall are 25TA01 and 25LA01.

Safety Issue:

Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2018-2019 Camry vehicles. The vane cap inside the vacuum pump may break, causing the pump to fail, which could result in a sudden loss of braking assist.

Potential Risk:
A sudden loss of braking assist can increase the risk of a crash.
FREE Recall Solution:
Dealers will repair or replace the vacuum pump, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 16, 2022. Owners may contact Toyota customer service at 1-800-331-4331.

FREE Recall Solution:
Toyota will notify owners, and dealers will replace the fuel pump assembly with an improved one, free of charge. Owners of specific models were notified that remedy parts were available starting January 21, 2021. Owners of other models will be notified as remedy parts become available. Remedy parts should be available for all affected vehicles by late March 2021. Owners may contact Toyota customer service at 1-888-270-9371 or Lexus customer service at 1-800-255-3987. Note: This recall is an expansion of recall 20V-012. Toyota's number for this recall is 20TA02. Lexus' number for this recall is 20LA01.

On March 4, 2020, Toyota expanded the recall to include certain 2014-2015 Toyota 4Runner and Land Cruiser, 2018 Avalon, Corolla, 2014 FJ Cruiser, 2017 Sienna and Lexus 2018 ES 350, 2018-2019 GS 300, 2013-2014 GS350, 2014-2015 GX 460, IS 350 and LX 570, 2014 IS F, 2018-2019 IS 350, LC 500H and LS 500H, 2013-2015 LS 460, 2015 NX 200T and RC350, 2017 RC 200T and RX 350. On March 19, 2020, Toyota expanded the recall to include 2015 Lexus GS350 vehicles. The low-pressure fuel pump inside the fuel tank may fail.

Southeast Toyota Distributors, LLC (SET) is recalling certain 2017-2019 Toyota Camry, Corolla, Rav4, Sienna, and Yaris iA vehicles equipped with factory-installed floor mats. The load carrying capacity modification label may be incorrect. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."

An incorrect label may lead to unintentionally overloading the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

During the manufacturing process, the oil galley in the rotor for the brake booster vacuum pump assembly may have been improperly machined possibly resulting in a sudden loss of brake assist.

Toyota will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the production date codes of the pistons and, if an engine contains a piston from the affected production period, the engine assembly will be replaced, free of charge. Potential Risk:
The improperly connected hoses may leak fuel, which, in the presence of an ignition source, can increase the risk of a fire.

VEHICLE HAD AN UNINTENTIONAL BRAKING INCIDENT RELATED TO THE FACTORY SAFETY SYSTEMS WHICH CAUSED PROPERTY DAMAGE. OF CONCERN IS THAT ACCORDING TO THE MANUFACTURER WHO READ THE EDR, THERE WAS NO RECORDED EVENT THEREFORE THEY ARE DENYING THAT AN UNINTENTIONAL BRAKING EVENT OCCURRED. I WAS NOT PRESENT AT THE DEALERSHIP WHEN THEY DOWNLOADED THE DATA HOWEVER THEY LEFT A THUMB DRIVE IN THE CAR WHICH ALLEGEDLY CONTAINS THE DATA THEY PULLED FROM THE CAR. WHEN THE EVENT OCCURRED, THE CAR WAS ON THE TRACK OF AN AUTOMATIC CAR WASH BEING PUSHED ALONG BY ROLLERS UNDER THE WHEELS WHILE IN NEUTRAL. THE SPEED WAS LIKELY 2-3 MPH. WHEN THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE WENT UNDER A CURTAIN OF SWAYING CLOTH STRIPS, ALARMS WENT OFF IN THE VEHICLE, LARGE ILLUMINATED LETTERS THAT SAID BRAKE APPEARED IN THE INSTRUMENT DISPLAY, IT BRAKED BY ITSELF CAUSING IT TO COME OFF OF THE TRACK ROLLERS AND THE CONVEYER PULLED THE VEHICLE BEHIND INTO THE REAR OF MY VEHICLE CAUSING DAMAGE TO BOTH VEHICLES. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 TOYOTA CAMRY. UPON STARTING THE VEHICLE, THE TRACTION AND CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. ALSO, WHEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, THE VEHICLE STARTED SHAKING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO DARCARS 355 TOYOTA ROCKVILLE (15625 FREDERICK RD, ROCKVILLE, MD 20855 (301) 340-0900) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT RODENTS CHEWED THROUGH THE INSULATION AND WIRING, WHICH NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE CONTACT RESEARCHED THE FAILURE ONLINE AND FOUND THAT A SOY-BASED PRODUCT WAS USED IN MAKING THE INSULATION AND WIRING, WHICH COULD ATTRACT RODENTS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 700.

WHEN I'M TAKING OFF IT TAKES A FEWS SECONDS BEFORE IT CATCHES SPEED. EVEN IF I'M PUSHING DOWN PRETTY MUCH ON THE WAY DOWN ON THE GAS PEDAL IT TAKES A WHILE BEFORE IT CATCHES SPEED. CARS BEHIND ME START PASSING ME. ALSO, MY BIGGEST CONCERN IS WHEN I'M MERGING INTO THE FREEWAY AND I'M TRYING TO CATCH SPEED IT WONT SPEED UP UNTIL A FEW SECONDS SO I GET NEVER THAT I'M TOO FAR IN AND A CAR BEHIND ME MIGHT HIT ME BECAUSE IT DOESN'T CATCH SPEED RIGHT AWAY AND ONCE IT CATCHES SPEED IT GOES EXTREMELY FAST BECAUSE I'M PUSHING SO FAR DOWN ON THE PEDAL BECAUSE IT DOESN'T CATCH IT RIGHT AWAY. I'VE GOTTEN SCARED OF FEW TIMES. I REALLY THINK SOMETHING DEFECTED WITH THIS CAR. AS MUCH AS I LOVE THE BODY OF THE CAR, THE SPEED CONTROL IS A REAL PROBLEM. I REALLY HOPE SOMEONE LOOKS INTO THIS. IT'S WHEN I'M STOPPED AND ON THE FREEWAY.
