Defect Description:
FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
Potential Consequences:
The High Voltage System failed three separate times within the first 3 months of ownership. Has spent total almost 30 days in the shop getting repairs. It happened at 400 miles, 800 miles, and 2200 miles. The car was unable to charge, unable to drive at full Highway speeds, and was a safety hazard because it could shut down at any moment according to the manual. The last time it happened was while I was driving home from a work trip. I had to drive 100 miles in 100° heat without functional AC and at limited speeds, hoping that the car wouldn’t shut down on the freeway in the middle of nowhere because the charging system failed while I was charging to complete my trip. Fortunately I made it home with 2% battery remaining, but if my house was another 10 miles away, I would’ve been stuck on the side of the road. The Blazer EV is a safety hazard, and multiple other people online are reporting similar problems enough that it could warrant a recall.

STEERING
Potential Consequences:
Telescoping adjustable steering wheel would not lock into place. If adjusted to multiple different positions, the steering wheel would fall out of position and drop in height as well as in towards the dashboard without warning. This occurred several times while driving as well as while parked. Took back to the dealership and was told initially that it was just the locking mechanism that needed to be replaced. Now the dealership is telling me that the entire steering column needs to be replaced.

Defect Description:
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Potential Consequences:
I had problems with my 2024 Chevrolet Blazer RS EV since the first week I purchased it a few months ago. The display would go blank while driving. I was unable to turn the vehicle off due to the controls not being accessible on the display. There is a grinding noise inside my dash and the service vehicle soon light on. The climate controls are unavailable resulting in high heat on defrost. There is a vibration periodically when driving on a smooth road. I have brought the car to the dealership several times and it has been there this time for almost two weeks. They are not able to address the issues stating that parts are on back order. My complaints to GM have not resulted in my request to return the vehicle for a full refund. The GM concierge has called me four times and keeps telling me they will need to call me back after asking questions I have already replied to. GM put a stop sale on this vehicle after selling any about 500 and they have not addressed my concerns.

VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL
Potential Consequences:
Although the owner's manual specifically states "When enabled, One-Pedal Driving applies in R (Reverse) and D (Drive). This feature remains enabled until manually disabled by the driver." One pedal drive does not work in reverse. Car does not creep in reverse like an ICE vehicle, but quickly lurches backward, surprising an experienced or forgetful driver and possibly endangering pedestrians walking or standing behind the car. Dealer service has checked it and consulted with Chevrolet, who refuses to address the issue, saying the owner's manual is just wrong. The same one pedal drive verbiage appears in both the Chevy Bolt and Cadillac Lyriq owner's manuals.
