General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2020 Buick Enclave, Cadillac XT4, XT5, Escalade, Escalade ESV, Chevrolet Suburban, Tahoe, Traverse, GMC Yukon, Yukon XL, 2018-2021 Chevrolet Express, GMC Savana, 2019-2020 Chevrolet Blazer, Silverado 1500, GMC Acadia, Sierra 1500, and certain Continental tires sold to the aftermarket for various model year 2018-2021 vehicles. The affected tires were cured for too long during production.

I have not authorized repairs as of yet. I am being told by the dealership: The ball joint on the control arm on the left side seized snapping the axle shaft - causing the tire to to turn out. The dealership has suggested: Mechanical repair costs $1,850, Plus an additional $2,000 due to wheel well damage caused by the failure. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? I am being told by the dealership: The ball joint on the control arm on the left side seized snapping the axle shaft - causing the tire to to turn out. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? Due to my slow speed turning out of the parking lot ~10 mph - the vehicle came to a sudden halt. However, had this occurred while driving any faster - it would have been very dangerous and put myself and others at significant risk. When putting the vehicle into park, we are receiving a “Shift to Park” error. This issue appears to be common among thousands of General Motors vehicles. However, the dealership is unable to assist us because the repair bulletin only applies to the 2019 model year and does not include the 2020 model year. Despite this, the issue we are experiencing is identical to the one reported for the 2019 model.
Corrective Action:
When putting the vehicle into park, we are receiving a “Shift to Park” error. This issue appears to be common among thousands of General Motors vehicles. I am getting the message "Shift to Park" displayed while vehicle in park after turning the vehicle off. Looking online, it seems to be a common issue with Blazers as well as other GM vehicles. I found online that "the cause of the condition may be that the park switch in the transmission control (shifter) assembly is not pulling the BCM signal low to electronically show that the vehicle is in the Park position." If this is such a common issue on similar vehicle to mine since 2018 it appears, why is this not a Recall already?!

This issue has been happening to me on and off for months now and there are multiple complaints of multiple Chevy owners having the same problem this issue needs to be addressed.

Vehicle keeps throwing “steering assistance reduced please drive with care” message. It causes my car fan to constantly run. 2020 Chevy blazer with 50,000 miles just had to have the thermostat housing replaced. Check engine light would everntually come on. But it would say "Steering assist reduced drive with care" When hooked up to the computer it read code P0128. I have the extended warranty and still had to pay over $600 to have this fixed which is completey ridiculous for how new and expensice this car is.

After putting the vehicle into park I received an error message "action required shift vehicle to park". I was then unable to completely shut the vehicle off or lock the doors and the alarm and notice continued to sound. I ended up spending over $1200 in repair costs and car rental to have the vehicle fixed.
