ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Potential Consequences:
When set to high speed the wipers after a brief period will "slow down to protect the wiper motor" or something, creating a situation where in even mild rain the car forces the wipers to slow down making it unsafe. Clearly... Ford has severely under spec'd the wiper motor/gearbox hardware and "fixed" it with software making the vehicle unsafe where it will just randomly decide that high speed wiper's are not available anymore.

Defect Description:
VISIBILITY/WIPER
Potential Consequences:
When driving with the windshield wipers on low speed, after about 30 seconds the wipers will stop and then go into "intermit" mode. To correct you have to turn the wipers from hi to lo, and then the exact same problem occurs. I did take the vehicle to the dealer who inspected and told me this is normal due to the "smart wiper system" that they are equipped with. This is a highly unsafe condition since its very hard to see in heavy rain

After 30-50 seconds of operation, the wiper speed reduces significantly, regardless of how much rain is falling on the windshield. This is particularly problematic during heavy rain fall. When the speed of the wipers is reduced or increased, then returned to the previous position, they maintain adequate speed for another 30-50 seconds before the speed is reduced once more.

VISIBILITY/WIPER
Potential Consequences:
The new Bronco has "smart wipers", this is what I have been told from the dealership. The when wipers are on constant Medium or High speed, after about 45 sec to 1 minute, the wipers resort to a slow intermittent feature. This happened to me during a very heavy rain on the morning of 2/8/23. This was a huge safety issue! When my wipers stopped on me this morning, I almost ran off the road due to the inability to see- super heavy rain. After researching this issue, it is a very large, wide spread issue that many Bronco owners are experiencing. There are no warning lights, nor did the dealership say anything about this issue when I purchased the Bronco- 5 days ago. This needs to be a recall to replace the wiper motor to a standard motor and not a "smart motor". I have owned many fords and this is the only one that I have owned that has this issue.

The wipers contol has 6 settings, off, intermittent (1,2,3), low speed continuous, high speed continuous. When in the low continuous the wipers will automatically (I did not touch anything) change to intermittent. To get them back to continuous you have to switch off/on or high/low. In even moderate rain you are blind for a second while you fiddle with the controls. www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/wiper-control-speed-issues-urgent-safety.31809 is a Blog containing over 14 months of Bronco owners complaining about this issue. I experienced it this morning at 04:00 driving in the rain. Got scary for a minute as I thought my wipers failed. My Bronco is new, only 900 miles on it.

POWER TRAIN
Potential Consequences:
I am part of a large number of individuals ~200+ documented experiencing scraping noises in our 7 speed manual transmissions. Most of us can't get service done due to part supply issues and labor shortages. The bigger concern is FORD is replacing same parts that are being damaged which doesn't address the root cause of the issue and its not solving problem because it comes back shortly after service. The noise is mostly only heard in temps below 50*f per FORD TSB 22-2371. People are complaining that regardless of new transmissions and TSB service the noise still comes back while most of us are waiting months to even get the repairs performed. There has been no official resolutions. The noise is a safety concern in that if the transmission fails a bronco filled with a family could be stuck in a dangerous situation unable to move the vehicle in gear on the highway or similar situation along with these are brand new people complaining day 1 they bring these 7 speed manual transmission models home on 21s, 22's and now 23's. FORD just keeps sending them to customers with same defective transmissions we have and the problem is growing quickly also since it is winter and more are out there the number is growing quicker. I have tons of videos, documentation and a community of 200 plus individuals who own 7MT Broncos with the issue. I have spreadsheets from the community of builds and user names as well as photos of internal damage and reports of noise coming back. Very good documentation. please take this seriously. Defect Description:
SUSPENSION
Potential Consequences:
On January 17, 2023, while driving down a commonly driven road (Muldoon) in Anchorage, Alaska at approximately 30 mph, I suddenly heard a large air escaping noise "Psh Psh Psh Psh" and it took me a moment to realize what was happening--the dash indicated the PSI of my rear driver's-side tire was deflating rapidly, to completely flat. Had the vehicle lost control in these snowy conditions, it could have ran into multiple other cars on the road--not ruling out the possibility of a roll-over type accident. When I pulled over into a parking lot, I figured that it was just a flat tire, so I jacked up the vehicle. However, at about the point that the front driver's side tire was leaving the ground, but the rear one wasn't, I determined there must have been an additional issue. I looked behind the tire at the suspension, and it appears that an arm of the suspension had broken off and either destabilized the tire to the point where it lacked a seal around the rim and the air leaked out entirely, or put a hole in the tire. No hole was identifiable, but the tire was so deflated it was hard to tell. When I called the dealership, Kendall Ford of Anchorage, they let me know that they didn't have an appointment until March 2023--at which point I refuted that making me wait 2 months with an undriveable vehicle with under 5,000 miles on it was unacceptable--especially for the price I paid (nearly $70,000). No one has been able to inspect the part yet, but it is clear from photos that the rear suspension on the driver's side does not match the passenger's side rear suspension. There were no warning of failure before this occurred, and the vehicle had been treated very well--it has never been off trail or offroading in the sense that it was in an untraveled area. It has been to archangel pass once, but I would not consider this offroading because the trail is not particularly difficult to pass.
