Defect Description:
SUSPENSION
Potential Consequences:
Around 2000 miles I’ve noticed a clunky sound when I made rights with the vehicle, so I brought it in to service and they mentioned a problem with the CV axles. I drove a loaner while they waited for the parts so they could replace it. Eventually, the part came in and they replaced it. Less than 48 hours later after getting my vehicle, the sound was back. I brought it in again and they mentioned that Honda says there’s currently no fix for it. I have now been driving it this way for a few months and to me, it seems as if the sound is getting louder and quite frankly I don’t feel safe driving this vehicle. My vehicle has less than 6000 miles on it and to have these type of problems. I feel something needs to be done about it.

STEERING
Potential Consequences:
1st: Windshield not available to be replaced after crack has formed since 3rd day of purchase. The crack has extended more than half way across and Honda claims that windshield is not available and in back order. I have made multiple claims to my ins to have it replaced as well as to Honda and I am getting nowhere. This poses a safety issue and needs to be rectified immediately. Not having replacement windshield available is zero excuses. 2nd: While steering to either right or left, the axile makes a subtle clicking sound intermittently. I have researched and this seems to be a common issue with this car. Honda claims it is normal which it is not. An accident can occur and is a safety issue to me and others on the road.

Defect Description:
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Potential Consequences:
Within two weeks of purchase from dealer, the car began having warning lights “service high voltage system”,“acceleration reduced”, “service vehicle soon”. Additionally this electric car would not allow me to charge the battery once these warning lights were displayed. Car has been towed to dealer for repair. Several attempts have been made to get update on repair time and my inquiries have not been responded to. I’m now stuck paying for a car that is less than two weeks old with less than 1,000 miles on it. All I have been told is that a call was made to the OEM based on the error codes that were read by the dealers system on intake. They aren’t telling me anything in terms of what the issue is, what the OEM fix is or a time of repair. The US govt NEEDS to be investigating Honda for consumer fraud related to this vehicle as I’ve now learned that I’m not alone and there are now numerous online forums describing the same situation I’m in presently. It’s immoral to sell a $60,000 car with a known fault and not disclose these faults prior to purchase. I would have never purchased this car had I known ahead of time that there were significant known issues that could render the vehicle inoperable within weeks of purchase.

SUSPENSION
Potential Consequences:
Suspension Related Issue: CV Axel Joints causing clicking, which is the most common issue among users of this car. Apparently the Driveshaft needs to get replaced as well. I got the right side done as the car was pulling to the right before the replacement, but the other part is on back order with no ETA. Been driving this way since October 2024. So I will believe for now that it's safe to drive the car as per dealer's recommendation to do so. Braking: The One Pedal feature turns off at random when starting the Car. Almost got into an accident not knowing it was off. Dealer cannot replicate the issue, but it happens to me randomly. It's to the point I have to check that first before operating the vehicle. Could be the memory of the vehicle not retaining the settings. Blind Spot Warning: The sound notification has recently turned off and is no longer working. Needs to be inspected by Dealer. Off-topic: Some Dealers only have 1 certified technician to work on the car. You're at the mercy of their availability when something needs to get fixed.

Defect Description:
FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
Potential Consequences:
On multiple occasions the forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking have engaged when there is nothing in the lane. On one occasion, the system engaged brakes very hard - which I can only assume was triggered by a pedestrian on a nearby sidewalk. I was traveling 30mph and the vehicle came to an abrubt stop. Traffic behind me was then also forced to slam on their brakes and I feel this could have easily lead to a collision if the driver behind had not been attentive. On another case the vehicle engaged brakes while traveling at 60mph on a two lane highway. I was traveling straight, approaching a rightward bend in the road. My steering wheel was still straight ahead because I had not yet reached the turn. Meanwhile a vehicle was coming the opposite direction around the bend. I believe the system engaged because I was steering straight toward the other vehicle - not taking into account the fact that my lane would bend before reaching it. In this case the system did not stop the vehicle but it did cause a rapid change from 60mph to 40mph in a section of road with no obstructions where neither myself nor drivers around me would expect my vehicle to slam on the brakes. Had the surface been slick such a maneuver could cause loss of control. Again - had drivers behind me not been attentive - I could have been rear ended.
