Defect Description:
LANE DEPARTURE: ASSIST
Potential Consequences:
Critical Safety Issue: Vehicle exhibits severe steering stability defects creating immediate safety hazards: 1. Continuous side-to-side oscillation occurs while maintaining straight-line travel, even with steering wheel held firmly in position. Vehicle "snakes" within lane without driver input, making it dangerous during lane changes and blind spot checks. 2. Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS) malfunctions due to steering offset: - System overcompensates with excessive left steering correction - Creates dangerous oversteering situation - Had to disable LKAS for safety - Demonstrates underlying steering system defect 3. Additional steering abnormalities: - Strong rightward pull during acceleration - Excessive resistance during left turns at highway speeds - Asymmetrical handling between left/right turns - Issues persist with LKAS disabled Safety Implications: - Cannot maintain steady lane position - Constant steering corrections required - High risk during emergency maneuvers - Loss of critical LKAS safety feature - Particularly dangerous at highway speeds - Driver distraction during blind spot checks while managing unstable steering Dealer Response: - Multiple visits without resolution - Over one week in shop - Claims behavior is normal - Dismisses safety concerns Issue is consistent and reproducible across different road conditions. Problem absent in other vehicles including rental car during service period. Video documentation available. Request investigation of: - Steering system components - Suspension geometry - Alignment specifications - LKAS system integration - Power steering system This safety defect creates unacceptable risk of accidents, particularly during emergency maneuvers or when changing lanes. Issue present since delivery and remains unresolved despite multiple repair attempts.

Defect Description:
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Potential Consequences:
On Dec. 19 the infotainment system and the instrument panels both went blank. I was driving away from my home. I touched a button on the steering wheel that controls the content of the screen that is the main instrument panel. The heads up display failed as well. The car kept running, but I could see any information such as my speed, my battery level or any of the other usual information. I could not reboot the system by myself when I called the dealership, but they said that after I handed it over to them, that it was rebooting. I took it back home and it seems to be working normally, but nothing Planet Honda did will guarantee that this will not reoccur. Planet Honda said they have heard of this happening to others, but that it's rare. If you google this problem, you can see other Prologue owners have had this happen.. This is very upsetting and potentially dangerous to not know your speed or to be able to control the lights of the car and other items. \

Defect Description:
UNKNOWN OR OTHER
Potential Consequences:
I just leased a 2024 Honda Prologue in October. It has a serious design flaw that Honda is refusing to fix -- the minimum temperature setting for heat is 70 degrees! Set the temperature any lower than 69 and it will blast feet and face with cold air even if the car is cold and it is 20 degrees outside. With a heavy winter coat, that's way too warm (and its also bad for range). I consider it a safety issue because when it gets too warm, it negatively impacts my alertness. And I can't safely take off my heavy winter coat while on the highway. I opened case #[XXX] with Honda on [XXX] and on Dec 20 Cynthia called me back to say that unless NHTSA declares it a safety defect Honda will not be fixing this. Now I'm stuck with the 3 year lease with this problem unless I can convince the dealer and Honda Finance to terminate the lease and refund my money. If I had known about this limitation I would have never leased this vehicle. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Defect Description:
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Potential Consequences:
While driving, both screens went completely black. Without the screens I was not able to monitor speed, no access to headlights and no access to adjust one pedal driving mode. All audio stopped as well. At first I didn’t know if I lost power to the entire vehicle, which distracted me from driving. Once I got my bearings, quickly accessed that the vehicle did not lose power, I pulled over. No warning lights or messages prior to this incident. No warning at all. It took about 10 minutes before both screens came back on. Being unable to monitor vehicle status and unable to see speed and no access to multiple options without the screen, put my safety at risk and other people around me at risk. I have not taken it in for any inspection at this time. This just happened yesterday.

Honda requires Prologue owners to use the Honda Link app in order to obtain warranty information, use credits, access features - but most importantly and the largest issue is we can’t get critical software updates for the vehicle because we can’t access the Honda Link app. We have submitted all of this information and have an open case with Honda (case #14996478) for the past 7 weeks with no resolution to this issue - since the day we leased the vehicle. Honda states this is an issue to be addressed by a contracted IT team, but so far does not have a fix, nor do they contact me or provide any updates. One of the team members at Honda told us last month to stop driving the car, so now we can’t drive it without worrying about missing a critical update as this issue is not yet resolved.

Potential Consequences:
On [XXX], around 8 PM, I was driving north towards DeLand, Florida on the highway at approximately 70+ miles per hour when my 2024 Honda Prologue started to slow down on its own. The air conditioning system shut down, and a warning displayed on the dash: “Service High Voltage System.” I immediately drove home and contacted CarSafely, fearing that the car might become stranded and was not safe to drive. The following morning (Tuesday, [XXX]), around 8 AM, I emailed and called the Coggin DeLand Honda service department, informing them of the issue and sharing photos and a video of the incident. The error/warning disappeared after turning the vehicle on and off several times. Coggin advised me to bring the car in the next time the warning appeared on my dashboard. On Thursday, [XXX], around 12 PM, I was driving on [XXX] towards Daytona Beach at around 70 mph when the vehicle suddenly slowed down again. The air conditioning system shut down, and the service warning “Service High Voltage System” appeared on my dashboard once more. I immediately got off the highway and stopped at a safe location to turn off the vehicle and document the error and warning on my dashboard. I emailed Coggin DeLand Honda again to inform them of the issue. On Friday, July 5, 2024, I took the car to the Coggin DeLand Honda service department, where they connected the vehicle to their computer for a diagnosis. The service department detected the error and reset/cleared the error code. However, the service tech informed me that they could not fix the issue due to insufficient information, as the vehicle was built by GM (General Motors Corporation). They advised me to return directly to the dealer without an appointment if the error reappeared. On Monday, [XXX], around 8 AM, while driving at approximately 25 miles per hour on a local road near my home, the “Service High Voltage System” error reappeared.
