SERVICE BRAKES
Potential Consequences:
Over the course of 6 mos. I've experienced several instances while braking on uneven surfaces, wherein the ABS system of my 2024 Hyundai Palisade reacted surprisingly very unpredictably. On 2 occasions this caused a near-miss; one of which involved braking while turning a corner on a rough surface and the car skidded/skipped (wheel-hopped) unpredictably. In another near-miss, I quickly released/reapplied the brakes which seemed to deactivate this erratic ABS behavior. My vehicle was recently shopped at my local is Hyundai dealership for routine maintenance/defects. This ABS malfunction was also to be addressed. The dealership reported to me that they were unable to duplicate, the car was operating as intended, no trouble found...Of course, I was highly. unsatisfied with this response, particularly after having taken a test drive with the service department supervisor, demonstrating the issue while driving and reviewing relevant online forum discussions that documented the exact issue I've been experiencing. PLEASE HELP BY DEMANDING HYUNDAI IS IMMEDIATELY ADDRESS THIS LIFE THREATENING ABS SAFETY DEFECT BY MEANS OF AN URGENT RECALL! Thank you.

Potential Consequences:
The sunroof glass appears to have exploded or burst open. The vehicle was parked at the time of the incident. The owner had driven the vehicle just two hours prior and returned to it to find that the sunroof had burst upwards sending glass on top of the remain parts of the sunroof and all over the interior cabin. There was no projectile involved and the remaining glass around the hole was protruding upwards indicating it had been pushed upwards by the pressure. This could have happened while occupants were in the vehicle. The vehicle has been inspected by the dealer who could not find anything wrong with the frame or housing to indicate a defect.

SERVICE BRAKES
Potential Consequences:
1. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? Multiple safety-critical systems have failed repeatedly, including: •Engine (multiple shutdowns while vehicle was in motion) •Automated Emergency Braking (AEB) (activating without cause while reversing) •Brake Pedal (intermittently unresponsive with audible rattling) •HVAC (leaking fluid into the passenger-side floorboard) Yes, the vehicle is currently with the dealership (Stamford Hyundai, CT) and is available for inspection. 2. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? • The engine has shut off without warning while the vehicle was in motion, including in traffic, creating the potential for rear-end collisions. • The emergency brake has slammed on while reversing, without any obstacles present, risking whiplash and collisions with pedestrians or nearby objects. • The brake pedal becomes unresponsive, with a loose/rattling sensation, making it difficult to slow or stop the vehicle safely. • The HVAC leak creates slippery floor conditions, posing a secondary risk for occupants during ingress/egress. 3. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? The dealership (Stamford Hyundai) acknowledged some issues but stated they were unable to replicate all of them. However, the brake pedal defect is consistently reproducible and occurs daily. Multiple videos and logs have been submitted to Hyundai’s consumer affairs team. 4. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? The vehicle is currently under inspection by Stamford Hyundai. Hyundai Consumer Affairs (case managers Noorpreet and Taruni) have been involved and have reviewed videos and documentation. No inspections by police or insurance. 5. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No.

SERVICE BRAKES
Potential Consequences:
On multiple occasions, my 2024 Hyundai Palisade (VIN [XXX] ) has experienced a serious safety issue involving the anti-lock braking system (ABS). While traveling at low speeds (approximately 5–15 mph) over bumps or uneven surfaces, the ABS has unexpectedly activated, preventing the vehicle from slowing or stopping when the brakes are pressed. In each case, the vehicle continued to move for an additional 10–16 feet before the brakes finally engaged. This issue has occurred repeatedly, including on: [XXX] [XXX] [XXX] Each incident created an extremely dangerous situation. I narrowly avoided a collision by swerving to avoid hitting the vehicle in front of me. Fortunately, no pedestrians or oncoming vehicles were in the immediate area—otherwise, the outcome could have been catastrophic. I reported the issue to Koeppel Hyundai in Long Island City, NY, on July 14, 2025, and brought the vehicle in for inspection that day. A technician acknowledged that other Palisade owners had reported similar incidents. Their only recommendation was to disable the "Auto Hold" feature, suggesting it might be contributing to the problem. I followed this guidance, but the issue reoccurred on [XXX] despite Auto Hold being turned off. This is a critical safety concern that requires immediate attention and a definitive repair—not just a workaround. Until Hyundai identifies and resolves the underlying issue, this defect puts drivers, passengers, and pedestrians at significant risk. Please advise on the next steps for a full investigation and proper resolution. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
