Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2015-2017 Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500 pickup trucks equipped with an 8 foot bed and a power locking tailgate. Chrysler is also recalling all 2013-2014 and 2018 Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500 pickup trucks built before April 1, 2018 with a 6 or 8 foot bed and a power locking tailgate. On August 29, 2019 Chrysler expanded the recall to include an additional 693,128 model year 2013-2014 Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500 pickup trucks. The tailgate actuator limiter tab may fracture and cause the tailgate to unlatch and open while driving.

Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2014-2018 Dodge Journey, Charger and Durango, RAM 2500, 3500, 3500 Cab Chassis (more than 10,000lb), 4500 Cab Chassis and 5500 Cab Chassis, Jeep Cherokee and Grand Cherokee and Chrysler 300, 2014-2019 RAM 1500, 2015-2018 Dodge Challenger, 2015-2017 Chrysler 200, 2016-2018 RAM 3500 Cab Chassis (less than 10,000 lb), 2017-2018 Chrysler Pacifica and 2018 Jeep Wrangler vehicles. These vehicles are being recalled to address a defect that could prevent the cruise control system from disengaging. If, when using cruise control, there is a short circuit within the vehicle's wiring, the driver may not be able to shut off the cruise control either by depressing the brake pedal or manually turning the system off once it has been engaged, resulting in either the vehicle maintaining its current speed or possibly accelerating.

Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2017-2018 RAM 1500, 2500, 3500, 3500 Cab Chassis, 4500 Cab Chassis, and 5500 Cab Chassis vehicles, all equipped with a column shifter. Pushing the brake pedal for prolonged periods when the vehicle is running and in PARK may cause the Brake Transmission Shift Interlock (BTSI) pin to stick in the open position. With the pin in the open position, the transmission can be shifted out of PARK into any gear without pushing the brake pedal or having the key in the ignition.

Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling various Dodge, Chrysler, and RAM vehicles equipped with Kidde Plastic-Handle or Push Button 'Pindicator' Fire Extinguishers. These extinguishers may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or requiring excessive force to activate the extinguisher. Potential Consequences:
The service abs and service electrical brake system flashes on and off, dings. Occurs at all speeds, in town driving seems to make it ding worse on and off on and off Some days it doesn’t hardly do it, some days it is non stop. This prohibits the use of cruise control also, with a faulty braking alert the cruise aUto disengages From looking at dodge forums this is a very common issue in 2018 2500 ram trucks. A friend of mine who has the same truck is currently also having the same issue. No one but dodge can read the code or make a repair or even get the parts. They are covering up the issue I believe. You can find tons of people complaining of this issue and dodge needs to issues a recall. [XXX] [XXX] 2018 Ram 2500 [XXX] 2018 Ram 2500 Both having same issue conway ar I’ve talked to a local shop and they said they have seen several with it but their scan tool won’t tell them anything the software is blocked by ram. I have found enough info to know what parts are required to repair it but you can’t get the mopar parts anywhere but dealer. Potential Consequences:
The first time this happen was 7/21/2021 at 10761 miles it was the ABS hydraulic control unit/pump motor this was fixed and was under warranty. Now it has happened again had scanner check to tell me what was wrong 5/10/2024 it showed ABS hydraulic control unit/pump motor has failed once again at less than 3yrs. with milage 25027 and out of warranty. This is a big safety issue that needs to be recalled if this is going to be an ongoing thing. You cannot get it to stop like it is suppose to I almost wrecked it the first time and i`m starting to get scared of it all warning lamps and messages came up. this time it first appeared 5/1/2024. It has been confirmed by dealer 5/10/2024. This is an expensive fix and if this is be an ongoing thing then it should be Recalled before somebody gets hurt or killed, I cannot imagine going down a highway at 70 mph and it locks up. Please help with this issue

I have a 2018 Ram 2500 with 35,500 miles, [XXX] . there is a well-known issue regarding the anti-Lock Braking Systems which effects 2017 and 2018 models which, Stellantis -RAM refuses to address. My truck suffers from this issue, the ABS and traction control warning lights constantly flicker on and off and there is an audible ding when this occurs. My local dealer diagnosed the problem, and the truck needs to have the HCU and ABS modules replaced. The cost to perform this work is nearly $2,000 since the parts are expensive and there is a fair amount of programming which needs to occur. Codes from ABS scanner: Ram ABS C2200-49(1/2) Stored Anti-lock Brake Module Internal - Internal Electronic C0090-01(2 / 2) Active ABS Pump Motor Control - General Electrical Failure Besides the cost the main issue is that the parts are not even available. I have been waiting on the parts since July 2023, my dealer says the next "production" date for the part is late June. I received this same type of response 2 times already, first for November, then February now June. Last I checked there are over 400 requests for these parts before me. At this point I drive an unsafe vehicle with no ABS or traction control, and I can’t even get it repaired . I also can’t use the truck for its intended purpose of towing. I’m looking for some assistance in this matter. There is also an active Class action lawsuit against Stellantis to provide relief for owners of these trucks, myself being one. My service ABS brake like comes on and off intermittently. When it does I can't use cruise control. We are on vacation and have called to RAM dealers and none has time to look at the truck. I looked on the internet and found that there are literally thousands of people complaining about this. Apparentluy RAM recalled the 2019's for this issue, but nothing before. This is not the first issue that we've had with the ABS brakes on this truck. It has me concerned since I pull and 8000-lb travel trialer.

Potential Consequences:
The ABS and Traction Control lights come on and off intermittently. It’s a known issue that can cause complete loss of breaks. It’s linked to the 2017 and 2018 Ram trucks and is all over the internet as being a problem. It’s a safety issue and needs to be taken care of immediately before someone dies or kills someone else because of an issue Dodge Ram has known about since 17-18.
Corrective Action:
The ABS and Traction Control lights come on and off intermittently. It’s a known issue that can cause complete loss of breaks. The ABS and Traction Control lights come on and off intermittently. It’s a known issue that can cause complete loss of breaks. It’s linked to the 2017 and 2018 Ram trucks and is all over the internet as being a problem. Seen by dealer (benson CDJR) in April and June of 2023 and parts to repair were NOT available. Being seen again as new part is currently available to be repaired 4/6/24. After 1 year of not being able to find a solution for the problem. I have slid on sharp turns, got stuck wile pulling camper due to no 4wd among other issues. Contacted RAM regarding replacement assistance and they denied due to after market warranty. The service electronic brake control and ABS light keeps flashing and the warning bell keeps going off every time I drive it, It only has 22k miles on the truck. There should be a recall for this as thousands of 2017 - 2018 ram trucks have this problem. Plus its dangerous driving like that.
