As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

AFTER MY CAR WAS SITTING OVERNIGHT, I CAME OUT IN THE MORNING AND FOUND AN 18" CRACK IN THE WINDSHIELD. THERE WAS NO INDICATION THE PREVIOUS DAY THAT THERE WAS ANY DAMAGE DONE TO THE WINDSHIELD. THIS IS A KNOWN DEFECT IN THE MANUFACTURERS VEHICLES THAT THE WINDSHIELDS BREAK WITHOUT ANY REASON. DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AT 60 MPH, I HEARD A VERY SMALL CRACKING SOUND AND THOUGHT NOTHING OF IT. ALMOST IMMEDIATELY, I HAD A 14 INCH CRACK PROPAGATING FROM THE BOTTOM EDGE MIDDLE OF THE WINDSHIELD. I COULD NOT FIND A CHIP LOCATION IN THE BOTTOM OF THE WINDSHIELD, NOTING IT MAY HAVE BEEN A VERY SMALL OBJECT THAT DIDN'T MAKE A CHIP. I CALLED SUBARU AND TOLD THEM THE ISSUE, BUT THEY REFUSED TO WARRANTY OR REPLACE IT, AND TOLD ME IT WAS AN ACT OF GOD.
