The connecting rod and/or crankshaft engine components may have manufacturing defects that can lead to engine damage and engine failure.

General Motors (GM) has decided that certain 2022 model year Chevrolet Silverado, and GMC Sierra vehicles equipped with an accessory sport bar. The accessory sport bar contains a high-mounted brake light that may not function. In addition, it may block the vehicle's existing high-mounted brake light. As such, these vehicles may fail to conform to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment."

Potential Consequences:
Rear camera view intermittently displays a blank or distorted image. This issue occurs almost every time when in reverse. In most occurrences, the screen will alternate between a blank screen with a warning indication and the video display several times within the same occurrence. After the video display reappears, the camera view sometimes freezes and does not display a live feed. These issues contribute to considerable risk and liability when the vehicle is in reverse. This issue is identical to a current recall on another vehicle. Please reference safety recall notice 22S06/ NHTSA Recall 22V082 for correlated information. The dealership refuses to acknowledge the issue and it has already contributed to physical damage when backing into my garage.

BACK OVER PREVENTION
Potential Consequences:
The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the blind spot detection, back over prevention, and turn signals intermittently failed to operate. Additionally, the instrument panel went blank while driving. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the dealer was unable to duplicate the failure. The dealer replaced the headlamps; however, the failure recurred with the driver's side headlamp failing to provide adequate illumination. The vehicle was not repaired and remained at the dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 300.

The problem with this car is that even when I shut off the vehicle, the engine keeps running.Onstar was able to come in overnight to retrieve the truck and deliver it to the dealer. It's not safe to drive a truck in these conditions, but since my family and I were on the other side of town, we decided to slow down and head home. The integrated trailer brake system fails shortly after plugging in a trailer. I have tried both my travel trailer and flatbed trailer. Both have the same issue. This started in November 2022, the first time I tried to pull one of my trailers. The message on the driver information panel would say Trailer Braking system disabled. System needs repair. I was traveling on Highway at 70mph and all of the sudden heard and odd noise. Throttle gave up everything was dampened. Stealing and brakes did not work. Several warnings went off which I have pictures and video of all. I got to the side of highway thank god safely. I place the truck in park and the lights & warnings remained on. I turned the truck off. Waited a moment and restarted. All warnings were gone and truck acted as normal. LET ME BE VERY CLEAR THIS COULD HAVE BEEN CATASTROPHIC.

Several warnings went off which I have pictures and video of all. I got to the side of highway thank god safely. I place the truck in park and the lights & warnings remained on. Several warnings went off which I have pictures and video of all. I got to the side of highway thank god safely. I place the truck in park and the lights & warnings remained on. I turned the truck off. Waited a moment and restarted. All warnings were gone and truck acted as normal. LET ME BE VERY CLEAR THIS COULD HAVE BEEN CATASTROPHIC.

The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated while attempting to change a flat tire with the vehicle jacked up using the factory-installed jack (Part number 84617950), the vehicle rolled forward off the jack onto the ground. No one was injured. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, and the contact was informed that the jack had not been placed on a flat surface, causing the vehicle to roll forward onto the ground. The jack was exchanged; however, the replacement jack was also defective. The contact went to a second dealer and attempted to exchange the defective jack, but the replacement jack was also defective.
