Defect Description:
POWER TRAIN
Potential Consequences:
Valve Body failed - truck currently at dealership The valve body failed as I was pulling out of a gas station - emergency brake immediately engaged and kept re-engaging as I was trying to make it across the street into the parking lot. Truck could not go more than 5 mph and I was stuck and almost hit. Problem has been confirmed by the dealer after it was towed directly there. Unknown if component has been inspected outside of service department. Truck initially would not remote start using key fob, but then made it to gas station fine without any further symptoms. After gas station, car started severely shaking then emergency brake engaged and would not accelerate.

Defect Description:
SERVICE BRAKES
Potential Consequences:
GM Case#[XXX] #1 A- On [XXX] vehicle sensors disabled breaks while driving on [XXX]. B- Driver Displayed Alert. a- BRAKE SYSTEM FAILURE 62 MHP TOP SPEED. b- TRAILER BRAKES DISABLED SERVICE REQUIRED. c- SERVICE ESC. C- Concerned by alerts proceeded to exit highway, the breaks where unresponsive. This required pressing break pedal to the floor. It took over 400ft for the vehicle to come to a complete stop. Fortunately no other vehicles were on the exit ramp, a major accident was avoided. D- On 10/30/2024 took vehicle to Bomnin Chevrolet West Kendall and explained break failure and provided pictures of driver alert messages. E- On 11/1/2024, 3 days after, Bomnin Chevrolet West Kendall Technician communicated that vehicle was mechanically fine and were unable to duplicate the problem. I accepted the vehicle back with 5,901 miles of use. #2 A- On [XXX] vehicle sensors disabled breaks again while driving on Miami city street. B- Driver Digital Displayed flashed following Alert Messages. a- SERVICE TRAILER BREAK SYSTEM. b- SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL. c- SERVICE ESC. d- CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WENT ON. C- Having experienced this back in October, I knew what to expect. Unresponsive breaks, fortunately on 2nd occasion I was driving slower on a city street and was able to coast to a stop. D- On 4/10/2025 took vehicle back to Bomnin Chevrolet West Kendall for the same problem, break failure. I once again explained to Technician what happened, showed them pictures of the Alert Messages. E- Vehicle as of today, 5/18/2025, remains at Bomnin Chevrolet West Kendall for a total of 39 days and is yet to be repaired. Given the severity/danger of defective break sensors defects there is “nonconformity” that under the Lemon Law is defined as a defect or condition that substantially impairs use , value, or safety of the vehicle. These 2 incidents make this vehicle unsafe for drivers, passengers, and general public in proximity. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Defect Description:
POWER TRAIN
Potential Consequences:
This is the third time since the purchase date of July 2023, that my Diesel 1500 Silverado has gone into "Reduced Engine Power" while driving. The first date was August 2024, while traveling down the interstate. The check engine light came on. My maximum speed was reduced to 50mph, and the transmission shifting was very jerky. This was extremely dangerous with the flow of traffic traveling 70+ mph. I returned to the dealer where the vehicle sat on the lot for approximately 60 days awaiting the part (Valve Body) from GM. Components were repaired through warranty. Fast forward to February 2025, "Reduced Engine Power" notification came on again with the code P0747, P700. Returned to dealer, and after a week of sitting on the lot, the technician could not duplicate the code. I requested that a new fuel filter be replaced for piece of mind. Today, 3 mos. later, as I was backing out of my driveway, my truck did not shift/engage into Reverse. I was able to roll into the road & put it in Drive, however it went into "Reduced Engine Power." The vehicle will have to be towed, at my expense, I'm sure, to further diagnose the cause. The truck does not move when shifted into Reverse, and pressure is applied to the pedal. It is extremely concerning knowing a national recall on identical GM components has been reported, and yet I have had identical issues without resolution. Despite the known problems and safety risks, especially with a child in the vehicle during each failure, I’ve been left without consistent or timely support. I am requesting immediate assistance in diagnosing and repairing this vehicle, as well as a formal explanation of why this recurring issue has not triggered a broader response or replacement. At this point, I’m also considering pursuing further action through GM corporate or a consumer protection agency if a permanent resolution is not reached.

Defect Description:
POWER TRAIN
Potential Consequences:
While driving at ~30 mph the rear wheels locked up momentarily with no warning and without applying the breaks. The back of the vehicle fish-tailed while the tires slid. Following the incident the check engine light came on and the vehicle went into limp mode and would not go more than about 25 - 30 mph. I immediately took it to the Chevrolet Dealer. The dealer indicated that the codes showed an issue with the transmission control module. It is currently at the dealer to be repaired. The vehicle has 51917 miles and is still under power train warranty. There was no warning or indication something was about to happen prior to the incident. The truck is a 2023 Silverado 1500 with the 2.7 liter Turbo engine with the GM 8 speed transmission.

Water Found in Rear Interior of Cab, Water Leak at Rear Sliding Window. I noticed water spots on the left and right sides of the headliner. I took it to a dealer (Malloy Chevy winchester Va), and the said it was a TSB put out on this problem and they would file a claim. The truck has 48000 miles and the bumper to bumper company denied the claim. Have the TSB didn't matter to them. Can you assist in any way with this?

POWER TRAIN
Potential Consequences:
In August 2024 my 6.2 Chevrolet Silverado motor blew up. I was driving uphill when all the sudden it made a very loud sound like I had floored it and I had not. The engine revved really, really really high red line then it flashed across my dash to turn off the motor and the vehicle just shut itself off.. It left me stranded in the middle of the road and had to be towed to a Chevrolet dealer. It took them approximately 3 weeks to diagnose it as a catastrophic engine failure. And several more weeks to replace the motor, radiator and coolant lines. There was engine pieces in the radiator. Chevrolet refused to reimburse me my full cost of the rental that I had to get until they approved me a loaner..
