BACK OVER PREVENTION: REARVIEW SYSTEM BRAKING
Potential Consequences:
I had the cross-traffic sensor and blind spot detection sensors changed about a year after I bought my Bronco and the tech told me where the wires are housed it is wide open to the elements which cause the wires to fail. This was fixed under warranty and now 2 years later I have the same issue, and Ford will not fix since I am out of warranty. This is not only a design flaw but also a safety issue for someone who relies on those sensors to work.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Potential Consequences:
The front camera is blacked out about 50% of the time when in reverse or when activating the camera system on my Bronco. I have had it into the dealership multiple times for this issue and they continue to tell me there is a over the air (OTA) fix coming soon. The last time they told me this was in Q2 2024 saying that a fix was coming by year end 2024. I am still waiting for this fix and it causes me some distress that I am unable to completely see around my vehicle when parking or in tight spaces. This is separate and distinct from the rear camera issue that was fixed in 2024.

Defect Description:
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Potential Consequences:
I have a new issue with my Bronco. While it drives well most of the time, I now regularly encounter a problem where multiple error messages pop up on the screen (sequentially) while I am driving, causing the vehicle to effectively, stop responding. The engine remains on, and I don't lose power to the brakes or steering, but the car won't react when I press the gas pedal. It seems like it's some critical failure safety measure, though feels critically unsafe when it occurs. When surrounded by other vehicles, at speed, I am forced to coast to a stop (with a prayer). Usually, when I put it in park, turn off the vehicle, and get out, it will reset all of the errors and work again. This situation is quite dangerous, especially when I'm around other cars. I contacted Ford, but they fit me in for two weeks. Here are the error codes that appear in order: -4x4 Off -Service Vehicle Soon -Service advance Trac -Check 4x4 -Pre-collision assist not available -Service advance track

Defect Description:
UNKNOWN OR OTHER
Potential Consequences:
When you turn the right turn signal on and then make a right turn, when the steering wheel returns to straight, it causes the left turn signal to come on without touching the signal handle. So your left blinker comes on after right turns. Oncoming drivers and drivers behind you may expect a left turn which creates a safety hazard. Also driving with your turn signal on and not turning could result in a traffic stop by police. Ford replaced a complement in the steering column but the issue persisted. This problem is present in two Broncos I own and I know a friend of mine has the same issue in their Bronco. I'm sure a simple internet search will reveal a common and widespread issue that could create an unsafe driving situation.
