WHILE DRIVING ON A CITY PARKWAY GOING AROUND 35-40MPH. MY EXPEDITION SUDDENLY STARTED SHUDDERING AND DECELERATING. THE WRENCH LIGHT CAME ON. I PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. I LOOKED UP IN THE OWNER'S MANUAL WHAT THAT MEANT. IT SAID TO CONTACT AN AUTHORIZED REPAIR CENTER. I WENT TO THE LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP. THEY RAN THE DIAGNOSTIC AND SAID IT WAS THE THROTTLE BODY. THEY ALSO STATED IT IS A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH THE ECO-BOOST ENGINES. THE VEHICLE WAS IMMEDIATELY PUT INTO NEUTRAL AND ALLOWED TO COAST SO THAT IT COULD BE SAFELY MOVED TO THE EMERGENCY LANE OF THE INTERSTATE. SEVERAL ATTEMPTS WERE MADE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE WHILE COASTING. ADDITIONAL ATTEMPTS WERE MADE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE AFTER THE VEHICLE CAME TO A HALT. NO SUCCESS. THE VEHICLE WOULD TURN OVER BUT NEVER START. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE NEAREST FORD DEALER. AFTER INSPECTION, FORD DETERMINED THAT THE FUEL PUMP HAD FAILED UNEXPECTEDLY.

I CHECKED AGAIN TO FIND NO SIGN OF BRAKE FLUID LEAKS. I HAD TO HAVE MY VEHICLE TOWED TO GOSCH FORD TEMECULA FOR THEM TO LOOK INTO THE ISSUE.
Corrective Action:
MY VEHICLES BRAKES WENT OUT WHILE DRIVING. FORTUNATELY I WAS PULLING INTO MY DRIVEWAY, WHICH IS ON A HILL, AND ABLE TO COME TO A STOP AND APPLY THE EMERGENCY BRAKE. AFTER COMING TO A STOP I CHECKED THE BRAKE FLUID AND IT WAS EMPTY. THERE WERE NO SIGNS OF ANY LEAKS. I REFILLED THE BRAKE FLUID AND THE NEXT MORNING WAS EMPTY AGAIN. I CHECKED AGAIN TO FIND NO SIGN OF BRAKE FLUID LEAKS. I HAD TO HAVE MY VEHICLE TOWED TO GOSCH FORD TEMECULA FOR THEM TO LOOK INTO THE ISSUE.
