Sometimes the transmission will disengage completely when accelerating in traffic, leading to nearly being rear ended by following vehicles. This is completely unacceptable and very, very dangerous. I've never owned a vehicle that acted this dangerous! One Google search of erratic Ford 10 speed transmission will send you to many websites with thousands of complaints. Since Ford will not stand behind this product, the federal government needs to take the reigns and protect the consumer purchasing this vehicle. Thank you.

Panoramic sunroof stuck in open position. Will not close without multiple failed attempts. When closing the sunroof makes a cracking and grinding noise. This issue has been identified by Ford, however my VIN does not currently fall under the open recall. Therefore, Ford will not cover the repair. Details of existing recall are below… Ford TSB 18-2374 Some 2015-2019 F-150, 2017-2019 F-Super Duty, 2018-2019 Expedition/Navigator vehicles equipped with a vista roof opening panel may exhibit a binding/sticking, glass stuck open or closed, noisy operation including chatter, rattling, or grinding. This may be due to the glass brackets cracking and/or breaking apart. The glass panel brackets are serviceable separately from the frame assembly and require the roof opening panel glass to be moved to the vent position. Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition.

POWER TRAIN
Potential Consequences:
Something is going on with the transmission we got it at dealer now it shifts funny 3 to 4 and 6to8 and sometimes you go to pull out and it revs up to 3000 rpm and don't move then it slam in gear and move and not all the time but sometimes you slow down you hear a crunching noises under expedition. If you stop fast it down shifts hard and if you go to move again it's like it's in a high gear it never shifted down .it's a 2018 10 speed transmission and if you read online ford has problems with them so why is it not a safety recall on this transmission before someone pulls out somewhere and gets kill because it won't move . It's a problem not a accident

Defect Description:
ENGINE
Potential Consequences:
While my wife and I were driving with passengers, I accelerated from the on ramp to enter the right lane of an interstate. I had to take my foot off of the gas pedal for maybe 1 second as the sight line became better. When I pressed the gas pedal to accelerate into the lane, NOTHING, no power at all for at least 3 seconds. Alarmed, I released pressure on the gas pedal and tried again, this time the engine and transmission engaged. Having no power in response to pressing the gas pedal was dangerous and frightening in that situation, particularly as there were cars that were closing in from behind in hat lane. This situation occurred a second time in almost the exact same sequence within a week. I thereafter took the vehicle to a Ford dealer. They advised there were no reports in their database and no procedures for the failure. AFTER reviewing how dangerous the event was, the dealer chose to reprogram the control for a charge, invoice and my note thereon is attached. The power failure was complete, as if there were no engine nor transmission. After the reset by Ford there was a different single incident with the powertrain which seems unrelated. While driving in a local town my wife took her foot off the gas pedal but the vehicle continued to accelerate. She braked after which the transmission appeared to "shift" and "reset" and thereafter acted normally. In none of the events was the cruise control engaged, in fact we rarely, if ever use it. The first incident was in July on a family trip, the next early August and after the reprogramming the last incident was the week of October 17, 2022.
