UPON STARTING THE CAR, THE CAR WAS WITHOUT POWER STEERING AND THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE APPEARED ON THE DASH 'STEERING ASSIST FAULT, SERVICE REQUIRED.' THE CAR WAS IN A STATIONARY POSITION WHEN THIS OCCURRED. THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN, AS IF THIS WOULD HAVE OCCURRED WHILE DRIVING, AN ACCIDENT COULD HAVE HAPPENED AND THE OPERATOR, PASSENGER AND/OR OTHER PERSONS ON THE ROAD COULD HAVE BEEN SERIOUSLY INJURED, OR WORSE.
