TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 FORD FUSION. WHILE DEPRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL AND DRIVING UP A HILL, THE PEDAL DEPRESSED TO THE FLOORBOARD AND THE VEHICLE FAILED TO OPERATE WITHOUT WARNING. WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL FAILED TO OPERATE, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO ROLL BACKWARDS. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO RIO VISTA FORD (1010 CA-12, RIO VISTA, CA 94571, (707) 374-6411) WHERE THEY AGREED THAT THE BRAKES WERE FAULTY. THE DEALER REPLACED THE BRAKES UNDER WARRANTY. WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH AND APPROACHING TRAFFIC, THE BRAKES FAILED AGAIN WITHOUT WARNING. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT CLIPPED THE PRECEDING VEHICLE. THE LAST TIME IT WAS SITTING ON MY DRIVEWAY FOR 5 DAYS AND IT COMPETELY DRAINED THE BATTERY. I HAD TO PUT A CHARGER ON IT OVERNIGHT THROUGH THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT AND THEN WHEN I WAS FINALLY ABLE TO GET THE TRUNK THEN I HAD TO RECHARGE THE BATTERY FOR OVER 8 HOURS TO GET THE VEHICLE STARTED. I DO NOT HAVE THE TIME TO TAKE THIS PROBLEM TO THE TO THE DEALER EACH TIME BUT I AM GOING TO TAKE IT IN AGAIN THIS WEEK 9-23-2019 TO SEE IF THEY CAN LOOK INTO WHAT IS CAUSING THIS PROBLEM. IT ALSO TOOK HOURS TO RECHARGE THE BATTERY TO GET IT STARTED TO DRIVE IT BACK TO THE DEALER EACH TIME. IT IS UNBELIEVABLE TO US THAT FORD DOES NOT RECALL THESE CARS.

EACH TIME 10/DEC/18, 11/JAN/19, AND 18/AUG/19 THE VEHICLE DID NOT START IT WAS PARKED IN OUR GARAGE. I HAVE A 2017 FORD FUSION. MY ISSUE IS THE THE SHIFTER LINK CABLE. THERE IS A LITTLE PLASTIC BUSHING THAT HOLDS THE CABLE TO THE TRANSMISSION THAT ALLOWS YOU TO SHIFT FROM PARK TO NEUTRAL REVERSE AND DRIVE. WELL MINE BROKE AND I'M GLAD IT WAS IN PARK. IF IT WASN'T IN PARK I WOULD HAVE NO WAY TO EVEN GET IT IN PARK NOT ATKEAST BY MYSELF ANYWAY. WHEN I WOULD TRY TO CHANGE GEARS I GOT A WARNING MESSAGE THAT SAID SHIFT SYSTEM FAULT SERVICE REQUIRED! IT TOOK ME FOREVER TO FIGURE OUT WHAT WAS WRONG. AFTER FURTHER DOING MORE RESEARCH I FOUND OUT THAT THE 13-16 FUSIONS HAD THIS ISSUE AND WERE RECALLED. I FOUND THE PART NUMBER FROM FORD WHICH IS DG92-7K340-A.
