ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

Potential Consequences:

show a "Service High Voltage System" message. The Honda Prologue we purchased in May 2024. We have left it with the dealership for the 3rd time now and problem kept coming back. As a first time EV user we are concerned of safety and ofcourse not knowing what is happening. The 2nd time around, I was told the DTC P0534 A/C Charge was low. This condition was not detected the first time this alert showed up. I was told that the A/C and Battery Sensors were in swapped position (ie wrongly swapped positions) and that this error must have happened at assembly. I have dropped off my EV at Dealership on Jan-9th and today is 31st and still haven't got any updates on it and i am without my car. No one seems to know what the issue is really and randomly suggest somethings and problem comes back again.

Front right CV Joint making clicking sound. I took vehicle into the Honda dealership. They kept care for 3 days. They put me in a rental. Called me to pick the car up and told me that the front CV joint was bad and that they got honda to approve to have it replaced. They then told me that the part was on back order and it might be in sometime in March. They advised me that my car was safe to drive and told me i had to take my car back. I dont feel that this is acceptable. I have had this issue with other older cars that i have owned and i was never advised that the car would be safe to drive. With a clicking sound like that the part should be placed immediately before the CV joint snaps and you get stuck on the side of the road or even worse causing an accident

The clicking when turning right or left. The dealership has had my car since December. They don’t have ANY inventory for this car for ANY parts. Every part being made is for the new cars according to the dealership. So many people have the same issue and Honda won’t take accountability. This car needs to be recalled for the safety of others. People are being told to drive around with a broken CV axial and wait for a new part. Idk how they can get away with this. If that breaks it can cause DEATH to an active driver or injury.

SERVICE BRAKES

Potential Consequences:

On several occasions while in reverse the car braked hard and violently for no reason. This caused a sudden jolt to me and the passengers endangering our safety. Also, this condition can cause an accident if I’m trying to back up to avoid a collision and the emergency braking system does not allow me to do such. The vehicle has not been inspected by anyone else and no warning lamps messages or other symptoms of the problem appeared prior to the incidents. This condition first occurred with about 300 miles on the vehicle.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

Potential Consequences:

I purchased a Honda Prologue from my local dealer with just 8 miles on it. At 97 miles, multiple warning lights appeared, including "Service High Voltage System" and "Service Vehicle Soon." Additionally, the vehicle would not allow me to charge the battery once these warnings were displayed and acceleration was reduced. I took it to the dealer, where they diagnosed an overcharged AC system causing battery cooling issues. They removed 1.270 kg from the system, cleared the codes, and tested to ensure proper levels before returning the vehicle to me. After driving for another week, the same warning lights reappeared, and now, with only 360 miles on it, the vehicle is back at the dealer for further diagnosis for the same warning lights. It does not appear an overcharged AC system was the cause. For a brand-new car with less than 500 miles, this is completely unacceptable from Honda.

STEERING

Potential Consequences:

Steering: The vehicle is experiencing clicking noises as it turns while exiting downward sloped driveways. Issues with the Steering and loss of steering could cause an accident while pulling out of a driveway or making a turn. The vehicle has not been inspected for this issue. There were no warning lamps or messages for this issue. Body: The Trunk door has been opening without personal operation. When getting into the vehicle notification will be given that the trunk is open. Upon attempting to close the door it is stuck in a half open half closed position that will not let it lock back in. This is dangerous as the door opening without intention could cause an accident, could cause items in the back of the car to fall out while in motion, or could cause additional damage to the car itself. The car is currently at the dealer being reviewed.
