Safety Issue:

Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2022-2025 Toyota Tundra and Tundra Hybrid vehicles. Moisture may enter the reverse light assemblies and cause a light failure.

Potential Risk:
Reverse light failure may reduce visibility, and not alert pedestrians and other drivers that the vehicle is backing up, increasing the risk of a crash.
FREE Recall Solution:
Dealers will replace both reverse light assemblies and repair the wire harnesses as necessary, free of charge. Interim letters, notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed July 8, 2025. A second notice will be sent once the final remedy is available, anticipated in the fourth quarter of 2025. Owners may contact Toyota's customer service at 1-800-331-4331. Safety Issue:

Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2022-2023 Tundra and Lexus LX600 vehicles equipped with a V35A engine. Debris from the manufacturing process may contaminate the engine and cause the main bearings to fail, which can result in an engine stall and loss of drive power.

Potential Risk:
A loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash.
FREE Recall Solution:
Dealers will replace the engine assembly, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed December 17, 2024. This is a phased recall. Lexus LX600 owners will receive letters in multiple phases, beginning February 2025 through Fall 2025. The phase 4 remedy launch for the Tundra is anticipated in May 2025, and for Lexus in June 2025. The load carrying capacity modification label states the incorrect load carrying capacity, which can result in an overloaded vehicle. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."

Potential Risk:
An overloaded vehicle increases the risk of a crash.

Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2022-2023 Tundra and Tundra Hybrid vehicles. The plastic fuel tube routed near metallic brake lines may chafe against the brake lines and become damaged, possibly resulting in a fuel leak.

Potential Risk:
A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.

Safety Issue:

Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2022-2023 Tundra and Tundra Hybrid vehicles that may be equipped with a Toyota genuine accessory tonneau cover. The tonneau cover attachment joints may come loose and allow the cover to detach.

Potential Risk:
A tonneau cover that detaches while driving can become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.
FREE Recall Solution:
Owners of the subject vehicles will be notified by first class mail to return their vehicles to a Toyota dealer. Dealer will install new hardware (bolts, spacers, washers, nuts, rubber washers and cotter pins) to the existing bracket and tonneau cover. If the tonneau cover has tears or splits at the mounting holes to the extent that new hardware cannot be installed, it will be replaced with a new tonneau cover and hardware. Owners will receive a notice once the remedy becomes available. Owners may contact Toyota's customer service at 1-800-331-4331. Toyota's number for this recall is 23TB03/23TA03.

Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2022-2023 Tundra and Tundra Hybrid vehicles. A software error in the combination meter's electronic control unit (ECU) may cause the Instrument Panel LCD display to go blank. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 101, "Control and Displays."

Potential Risk:
A blank display will not show critical information such as the speedometer or warning lights, increasing the risk of a crash.
FREE Recall Solution:

Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2022 Lexus NX250, NX350, and Toyota Tundra vehicles. The Skid Control ECU within the Brake Actuator Assembly may falsely detect an overcurrent condition of the Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) Actuator and enter a failsafe mode which prevents the EPB from being engaged. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 135, "Light Vehicle Brake Systems."

Potential Risk:
An electronic parking brake that cannot be engaged while in "park," may result in a vehicle rollaway, increasing the risk of a crash.

Incorrect programming of the parking-assist electronic control unit (ECU) software, may cause the front camera image to appear on the multimedia display instead of the rear camera image when the shifter is placed into reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."

Potential Risk:
A rearview camera that fails to display the correct image can reduce the driver's rear view, increasing the risk of a crash.

Potential Risk:
Axle shaft separation can cause a loss of vehicle stability and brake performance, increasing the risk of a crash.

Dealers will inspect the rear axle assembly, tighten the axle flange nuts, and replace any damaged axle-related components if necessary, free of charge. My 2022 tundra seat panel start to fall apart. Front bumper coming out. Door rattle. Windshield distortion makes my visibility can’t see good. Windshield molding coming loose. The tires keep loosing air pressure and Toyota refuse to add more air pressure .radio keep getting disconnected from my Bluetooth .i have all video and evidence showing all this defected happen but Toyota will not fix under warranty. Toyota stated they will not fix the problem due to truck still working order running fine.

Corrective Action:

I was driving on Highway 98 at 76 miles an hour. A light came on the dash said engine is low on power. Then immediately the car said to get to the side of the road the engine had shut off. This was in the middle of a drive on the interstate. I almost got hit by a truck. With family in the car. I made an appointment at our local dealer for all the recalls and they canceled it last Friday due to their service force being sick. This almost got me and my son killed.

i bought car from dallas dealer toyota, 2022 tundra, i bought bed cover on line at [XXX] i had receipt for that, mar/2023 i bring my car to toyota dealer : TOYOTA OF MIDLAND, for oil change they told me bed cover recall i had to let they take off , they drill all the holes on that for destroy my bed cover, every month i came back ask for bed cover the lady april work in there she keep said i dont know yet, last month i had come talk about that with skinny with bearded almost whole face , the guy seat behind april, his super rude his said recall dealer had to destroy my stuff and never give me new one , after i quarrel with him hes call the guy on back of dealer come out order for me new one, i came back for put on my new truck, april and guy with red shirt on back come out said no , because i bought new truck not from his dealer his never gave me new one , i buy my bed cover from my money? why i have keep old car for i can get new one? my money i bought i can put on any car i want, they and robber it same thing , they so rude , and did rob my stuff , how big dealer treat customer like that, please helppppp , please help , i work will hard for i can have money to buy the stuff i like , toyota recall and destroy my stuff with out give customer new one, i so sad and disappointed with Toyota of Midland , This is an America ,country has a laws, they rob customer like not thing, please help me , thank you very much to all ! I took the truck to the Toyota Dealership in Moss Point Mississippi in November 2023 and they informed me there were an update computer software program needed to be installed on my Tundra and the problem would be resolved. The problem still exist, the jerking of the transmission has me afraid to drive it.

Brakes are too large, it does not respond quick, I noticed this before buy our unit during a week I rented a tundra to try it due dealers had not vehicles to try. Once we bough ours after drive it enough I informed to the dealer but they said it were ok, but we have a couple incidents and decided to trade the vehicle loosing a lot of money in the trade to get a vehicle with good brakes, less than 2 weeks after we did the trade Toyota called us to see if we were ok due the detected in their system we had a crash, most likely the new owner had an accident
