(Volkswagen) is recalling certain front-wheel drive 2015-2020 Audi A3 Sedan, 2015-2019 Audi A3 Cabriolet, 2019-2020 Volkswagen Jetta GLI, 2018 Golf Sportwagen GP, 2018-2019 Golf Sportwagen A7, 2015-2017 Golf Sportwagen, 2015-2020 Golf GTI, and 2015-2020 Golf A7 vehicles. Due to a problem with a suction jet pump seal inside the fuel tank, fuel may flow into the evaporative emissions (EVAP) system and possibly leak out of the charcoal canister.

I HAVE A VERY LOUD CLICKING/TAPPING NOISE WHEN AT IDLE AND LOWER RPMS. VEHICLE HAD ABOUT 9,000 MILES ON THE ODOMETER WHEN NOISE STARTED. I HAVE MULTIPLE VIDEOS AND SOUNDS RECORDINGS OF THE VEHICLE HAVING THIS NOISE. I TOOK THE VEHICLE IN FOR DIAGNOSIS. I SHOWED THE SERVICE ADVISOR THE VIDEOS AND HE SAID "IT DOES NOT SOUND NORMAL AT ALL, IN FACT IT SOUNDS LIKE INTERNAL DAMAGE/DEFECT". I HAVE A VERY LOUD CLICKING/TAPPING NOISE WHEN AT IDLE AND LOWER RPMS. VEHICLE HAD ABOUT 9,000 MILES ON THE ODOMETER WHEN NOISE STARTED. I HAVE MULTIPLE VIDEOS AND SOUNDS RECORDINGS OF THE VEHICLE HAVING THIS NOISE. I TOOK THE VEHICLE IN FOR DIAGNOSIS. I SHOWED THE SERVICE ADVISOR THE VIDEOS AND HE SAID "IT DOES NOT SOUND NORMAL AT ALL, IN FACT IT SOUNDS LIKE INTERNAL DAMAGE/DEFECT". THE TECH HAD TAKEN IT INTO THE SHOP AND CAME BACK AND SAID IT SOUNDED 100% NORMAL. I AM NOW AT 12,000 MILES AND DID MY OIL CHANGE AT THE 10,000 MILE MARK. NOISE IS STILL THERE. I AM AFRAID IF THE NOISE KEEPS GOING ON AND IT IS CAUSING INTERNAL DAMAGE MY CAR WILL BE DESTROYED. THE VEHICLE HAS STALLED OUT ON ME 1 TIME AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT SINCE I BOUGHT IT IN DECEMBER OF 2019. I HAD PARKED MY 2019 JETTA IN MY LOCKED GARAGE LAST NIGHT. WHEN I WENT TO USE THE CAR THIS MORNING, AND BEFORE I GOT INTO THE CAR, I NOTICED THAT THE DRIVER'S SIDE WINDOW WAS SHATTERED. I AM THE ONLY ONE WHO LIVES IN THE HOUSE. THE GARAGE IS ATTACHED TO THE HOUSE, AND THERE AREN'T ANY WINDOWS IN THE GARAGE. THE ONLY WAY INTO THE GARAGE IS THROUGH A DOOR FROM THE KITCHEN OR BY USING THE GARAGE DOOR. THERE IS NO SIGN OF ANY FORCED ENTRY, BUT MY DRIVER'S SIDE WINDOW IS SHATTERED WITH MOST OF THE GLASS ON THE DRIVER'S SEAT, SOME ON THE GARAGE FLOOR (~5%) AND VERY LITTLE (~2%) ON THE ROOF OF THE CAR. IT WOULD APPEAR THAT THE WINDOW WAS NOT ALL THE WAY UP AFTER I PARKED IT IN THE GARAGE, WHICH IS BASED ON THE AMOUNT OF SHATTERED GLASS IN AND AROUND THE CAR.
