Defect Description:
UNKNOWN OR OTHER
Potential Consequences:
Apparently the heater box in the 2019 Ranger is prone to warping. This leads to malfunctions in the heat/ac in the cabin. They tell me if I don’t get it replaced I could wind up getting ac instead of heat. This would be a real problem in winter weather, as I may not be able to keep the windshield clear without heat. I saw many complaints about this happening to owners of the 2019 Ford Ranger. The fix is to remove the dashboard to install a new box at a cost of 2200.00, according to the Ford dealership I bought the truck from.

Defect Description:
POWER TRAIN
Potential Consequences:
There is insufficient shielding to prevent water from reaching the top of the engine. This results in water dripping on the coil packs and also entering the spark plug wells, causing loss of spark and reduced engine output. Over time, this issue also leads to rust in the engine head, potentially resulting in engine failure. Additionally, water can reach the EGR DPFE sensor, causing the engine to hesitate and shutter at various speeds. Both of these issues together cause a misfire when applying the accelerator and will cause the vehicle to initially hesitate then surge forward. Even with the engine cover, the venting at the base of the windshield allows water to drip down on the engine head, causing the above issues. Ford does recognize that there is an issue and have written several TSBs on the it.

I have a 2019 Ford ranger that was built June 24th 2019 the internet states that any Ford ranger 2019 XLT built before July 30th 2019 has a recall for the HVAC system in the blower motor well my truck did not make the recall list but yet it has every single issue that they recall every time I call all they say is my vehicle VIN number is not on the recall but what is the chances that my blower motor and my blend door actuator does not work. When I bought the truck in 2021 I heard a ticking noise but the air still worked me being a female never thought much of it I thought it was my radio or something so this problem has existed since the day I bought it with 20,000 miles on it from the dealership. it has been tested by the Ford motor company and it does not work I have the same symptoms same issues and I should have my truck in the recall to get my air conditioner fixed it is a 4 year old truck and should not be broken I have on the truck for 4 years I bought it at 20,000 miles there's a ticking behind the dash and the blower motor does not work. I am disabled and live in South Carolina where is over 100° so it is a safety issue my truck should be on the recall the dealer should fix it how do I get this taken care of

POWER TRAIN
Potential Consequences:
The check engine light illuminated after leaving residence and traveling less than 5 miles. Had the vehicle check by a certified ASE mechanic, He stated that my vehicle had a misfire code (PO300), if it was a PO301 OR PO302 or etc, it would indicate a specific coil was misfiring, but the PO300 is a general misfire code. Vehicle is jerking, pulling, bogging down as if doesn't want to go forward or is losing power, mechanic changed the spark pulls the first time thinking it was time due to mileage of the vehicle, and cleared the code. One week later check engine light is back on with the same PO300 code, he says we can try changing the coils next to see if this fixes the problem. I called my local ford dealer, who says the will charge me $167 dollars to diagnose the problem, and tell me whats wrong. After I have already told them what the problem is and what the code is for the problem. Which is the same code i got from my $40 code reader is the same code he got from his $1500 code reader, so what can the tell me for $ 167 that i dont already know and have told them, and from further research on recalls for this vehicle, I have found that they already know this problem exist. Ford should be responsible for repairing this know issue of engine misfires before someone dies from this engine shutting down while driving and causing a fatality on the highway.

The vehicle skips gears when upshifting and does not shift through all the gears when in cruise mode. The truck will buck and bang jolting the passengers and appear to stall out without any warning. This has happened on numerous occasions and has even stalled out in the middle of a very busy intersection almost causing a collision by the truck not having enough power to coast through the intersection. Based on conversations with the dealership, this is not an isolated issue with our vehicle.

POWER TRAIN
Potential Consequences:
My 2019 Ford Ranger (Lariat) has as what I've discovered is a habitual problem that many other Ford Ranger owners are experiencing. While driving at lower speeds (28-40 mph) the trucks transmission will begin to knock and buck very hard. I've noticed, according to the gear indicator, that it is in either 7th or 8th gear. The problem has gotten consistently worse and I'm in fear of greater damage to the mechanics, or worse, a potential accident if it completely gives out while driving. - The truck has not had any modifications what-so-ever that would have in any way affected the transmission.
Corrective Action:
My 2019 Ford Ranger (Lariat) has as what I've discovered is a habitual problem that many other Ford Ranger owners are experiencing. While driving at lower speeds (28-40 mph) the trucks transmission will begin to knock and buck very hard. I've noticed, according to the gear indicator, that it is in either 7th or 8th gear. The problem has gotten consistently worse and I'm in fear of greater damage to the mechanics, or worse, a potential accident if it completely gives out while driving. - The truck has not had any modifications what-so-ever that would have in any way affected the transmission.

Defect Description:
POWER TRAIN
Potential Consequences:
[XXX] my transmission, went out on my 2019 Ford Ranger 4 x 4. I was driving on the interstate in Houston, TX during the Friday afternoon rush-hour, when I completely lost power. It was very difficult to get off the interstate due to the traffic. I had experienced some transmission issues in the week before it failed there had been some jerking, hesitation, and the truck would lurch forward when accelerating from a stopped position and while driving there was harsh shifting. I had checked the transmission fluid and it was normal. There were no warning messages prior to it going out. I had the truck towed to a Ford dealership where I was told the transmission was still under warranty. It took the dealership nine weeks to repair the transmission. It is now one year later, and I have just started experiencing the same harsh shifting on the interstate, jerking and hesitation.
