These vehicles were previously recalled and repaired under recalls 15V-246, 16V-643 or 17V-210, however the repair may not have been completed properly. THE MANAGER SAID NOT TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE AROUND DUE TO SAFETY ISSUES AND TAKE IT TO THE DEALER BECAUSE THE SEAL SHOULD NOT HAVE FAILED WITHIN 3 YEARS. THE SERVICE MANAGER WANTED ME TO CONTINUE DRIVING THE VEHICLE AROUND UNTIL THEY HAD AN OPENING IN APPOINTMENTS. I WAS AFRAID TO DRIVE IT WITH ONLY 1/2 OF THE WINDSHIELD SEAL INTACT. THE ISSUE IS WATER ENTERING THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM THRU THE TOW MODUEL AND SHORTING OUT THE SYSTEM. MY VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY IN THE SHOP BECAUSE THE IGNITION HAS COME APART AND IT IS GOING TO COST ME MORE THAT 800.00 TO FIX. Corrective Action:
ENGINE FAULT SERVICE NOW MESSAGE APPEARS, SRS, TRACTION CONTROL, AND INFORMATION WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATE. VEHICLE LOOSES POWER, THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL IN NON RESPONSIVE, AND ENGINE BEGINS VERY ROUGH IDLE. HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS ISSUE TWICE IN THREE DAYS ON THE FREEWAY AT SPEEDS OF 65-70MPH. AFTER COASTING TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP, TURNING THE VEHICLE OFF AND THEN BACK ON SEEMS TO CORRECT THE ISSUE LONG ENOUGH TO DRIVE TO THE DEALERSHIP.
