Safety Issue:
Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling various Dodge, Chrysler, and RAM vehicles equipped with Kidde Plastic-Handle or Push Button 'Pindicator' Fire Extinguishers. A list of the affected trailer models is available at: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2017/RMISC-17V824-0103.pdf. These extinguishers may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or requiring excessive force to activate the extinguisher. Additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury and also render the product inoperable. THE DRIVER'S SIDE SLIDING DOOR IS NOT UNLOCKING. THE DOOR WON'T OPEN, SO I AM UNABLE TO PUT MY BABY IN AND OUT OF HIS CAR SEAT THROUGH THAT DOOR. THE DOOR WON'T OPEN MANUALLY OR THROUGH THE USE OF THE AUTOMATIC LOCK BUTTONS. THE VEHICLE'S LOCKS WERE WORKING IN THE MORNING, BUT THE ONE LOCK STOPPED WORKING THAT EVENING. THE CAR WAS STATIONARY AND IN A PARKING LOT WHEN THE LOCK WAS CHECKED AND FOUND TO BE MALFUNCTIONING. I APPROACHED MY CAR AND HIT THE BUTTON ON MY REMOTE TO OPEN THE DRIVER SIDE SLIDING DOOR. I PLACED MY ITEMS IN THE CAR AND PUSHED THE DOOR CLOSE BUTTON. I DROVE TO MY DESTINATION AND WHEN TRYING TO OPEN THE DOOR TO RETRIEVE MY ITEMS THE DOOR WILL NOT OPEN. I HAVE TRIED USING THE REMOTE, THE BUTTON IN THE CAR & MANUALLY OPENING. THE DOOR SEEMS TO BE STUCK IN THE LOCKED POSITION AND WILL NOT OPEN. MY HUSBAND HAS TRIED ALL OF THE ABOVE AND CHECKED THE FUSES TO MAKE SURE IT WASN'T JUST A BLOWN FUSE. MY DOOR IS NOW STUCK CLOSED AND I DRIVE AROUND WITH MY CHILDREN IN THE CAR ALL THE TIME. NOW I AM WORRIED IF WE ARE IN AN ACCIDENT THAT THE DOOR CANNOT BE OPENED.
