Safety Issue:
Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling various Dodge, Chrysler, and RAM vehicles equipped with Kidde Plastic-Handle or Push Button 'Pindicator' Fire Extinguishers. A list of the affected trailer models is available at: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2017/RMISC-17V824-0103.pdf. These extinguishers may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or requiring excessive force to activate the extinguisher. Additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury and also render the product inoperable. WHILE DRIVING ALONG ON THE HIGHWAY ON A BRIDGE THE VEHICLE STARTED TO BUCK AND JERK COULD NOT SELECT ANY GEARS TRANSMISSION WAS SLIPPING A LOUD WHINING HIGH PITCH SOUND CAME FROM THE TRANSMISSION AREA CHECK ENGINE SYMBOL CAME ON I MANAGED TO GET VEHICLE OFF THE ROAD. I HAD VEHICLE TOWED TO DEALERSHIP 41425 MILES ON 2016 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN SXT. VEHICLE WAS DEALER SERVICED AND OWNERS MANUAL WAS SIGNED AT REQUIRED SERVICE TIMES. DATE 5 AUGUST 2019. DEALER REPLACED TORQUE CONVERTER, TRANSMISSION PUMP, TRANSMISSION FILTER, TRANSMISSION FLUID. MY VIN DID NOT COME UP ON ANY RECALLS. DRIVE TRAIN WARRANTY SHOULD BE EXTENDED TO 100,000 MILES ON THESE VANS AS A MINIMUM TO PROTECT THE CONSUMERS.

I PLACED THE VEHICLE IN "DRIVE" AND WHILE IT SHIFTED FROM 1ST TO 2ND IT REVVED UP TO 3500 RPM BEFORE SHIFTING. WHEN SHIFTING FROM 2ND TO 3RD THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT SHIFT AND REVVED UNTIL ABOUT 8000 RPM BEFORE FINALLY SHIFTING.
