STEERING

Potential Consequences:

When making turn left or right there is a noticeable cracking, ticking, knocking noise coming from suspension, sometimes it feels that i am about to loose the control of the steering. Went to Honda Dealership where I purchased the vehicle located at 35 Magee Ave, Stamford, CT 06902 they diagnosed the vehicle and confirmed that there was a noise due to faulty CV Axle Joint, however refused to fix it, they stated there are no recalls for this models and stated that the it is the vehicle characteristics. For me it raises serious safety issue, I can lose the control of steering whenever I am turning and cause fatal results. Please take this issue in consideration and review carefully.

STEERING

Potential Consequences:

I bought Prologue ELITE AWD on January 31st 2025 and drove 1000 miles. The steering is very stiff and makes squeaking noise while parking and turning. This sound is audible while the car is going slow; however, when the car speed is above 20 mph we may not hear, but my guess is it still there. If this fails during sharp turns, there is chance of damaging my own car and even other cars putting others and myself into safety risk. There are no warning lamps and messages. The problem first appeared after 5-7 days after the purchase; however, I thought the car is new and being adjusted for the ride with the huge 21 inch tires it has. Additionally, the car has problem with suspension, after a ride and when placing it in park mode, the suspension of the car swings enabling the car to move forward and backward possibly hitting the car infront or back damaging the other cars too.

SERVICE BRAKES

Potential Consequences:

On [XXX], I leased a Honda Prologue from Honda Carland in Roswell, GA. Within a week, the vehicle displayed multiple braking system failure warnings, including “Braking system failure,” “Service Stabilitrak,” and “Brake assist failure.” One-pedal driving also became unavailable. Upon attempting to drive, the brakes were completely unresponsive, causing the car to roll down a ramp uncontrollably before eventually stopping. Despite multiple attempts, the brakes failed entirely, making the vehicle out of my control. I immediately called Honda’s OnSite service, and the car was towed back to the dealership. The dealership initially diagnosed the issue as a loose connector that was allegedly not properly attached during assembly. They assured me the vehicle was now functioning as designed. However, about a week later, the same critical brake failure occurred again. The car would not brake, forcing me to request another tow back to Honda Carland. This time, the dealership claimed the issue was due to a faulty brake master unit, which they replaced—a far more serious defect than initially diagnosed. Given the life-threatening nature of repeated total brake failure, I refused to drive the vehicle and attempted to return it. In researching this issue, I have found similar complaints in online searches, including the NHTSA database, suggesting that this may be a much broader issue affecting Honda Prologue vehicles manufactured in 2024. This is not a minor issue—it is a safety hazard that puts my life and the lives of others at risk. I am not willing to drive this defective vehicle, and I urge the NHTSA to investigate this matter immediately to ensure that no other driver is put in danger due to brake system defects in the Honda Prologue. FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS

Potential Consequences:

I've had to turn off all the safety features in my car on multiple occasions. I nearly got hit by several cars turning into driveways because the car's sensors detected a vehicle on the driveway. Additionally, the sensors mistakenly detected another car pulling out of a shopping center, which caused heavy brake locking. This has even happened to me twice on the freeway. When I mentioned this to the service manager, he laughed and said, "I know what you're talking about. I have one too, and it happens to me as well. Unfortunately, there's nothing we can do about it except turn off the sensors." And be careful with your neck the ways brakes lock in
