Potential Consequences:

There has been a knocking sound over the past 3-to 4 weeks when making a left turn. This is a safety issue because if the system fails while driving, I, my passengers, and other drivers on the road are at risk of injury. This has not been reproduced by the dealer or inspected by the manufacturer. Additionally, no warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms occur before the problem occurs.

Once, I was coming to a stop and at least two car lengths away when the system alerted me. Another time, I was driving down the road, and no one was in front of me when the system came on. This is a safety issue to both the driver, passengers, and others on the road because if the car thinks it's too close when it's not, it could violently and abruptly stop, thus causing other vehicles around the driver to crash, too! Rear Cross Traffic Warning - When backing up, the system violently stops the car and throws it into park mode, and there is nothing behind the vehicle. It will do it three times if you try to put it in reverse after being violently stopped. This happens all the time. One time I was in a parking lot with no one around and this happened 3 times before I could safely back up and then drive. The current mitigation is to turn the Rear Cross Traffic Warning off. This is a safety issue because being stopped so violently and abruptly could cause neck and back injuries. This is also a safety issue for others because I have to turn the system off, and there could be an unfortunate accident the system is meant to prevent.

I was not assisted with setting up OnStar on the day of purchase, which was at the end of September 2024. The next day, when I was unable to set it up myself, I contacted the dealer and was sent numerous links to set it up. However, it has never worked and has been to the Service department twice. The first visit was on October 19, 2024, and I waited for one month for parts that never arrived. They informed me that the parts were on backorder, and since the vehicle was drivable, I chose to pick it up. However, the radio went completely out on December 19, 2024, and I was instructed to bring the vehicle back to the dealer because the parts had finally arrived. I was provided with a loaner, and the vehicle has been at the dealer ever since. I reached out to them on week three to inquire about the estimated time of completion for the new radio system installation and was informed that additional parts needed to be ordered, which would take seven more days. I followed up 10 days later and was told that the part had still not arrived
